Rel Hunt

Named Aurel Hunt, he was born on August 15th 1974 in Sydney, and his starsign is Leo. His Hungarian dad and Australian mum are divorced. He's got three younger brothers, and his major like is rugby. Rel played Ryan Scheppers in Heartbreak, until he left after passing his HSC in series 6. In real life Rel went to the high school SCECGS, and it still amuses him that someone who was banned from drama classes at high school because he mucked around too much can end up an actor. He did, and he loves it!

After finishing his HSC, musclebound Rel began a three year Commerce Degree at the University of New South Wales. In the mean time he was a model, but quoting his own words he was terrible at that. In 1994 his agent got him a script for a series called Police Rescue, and suggested he'd try that instead. He debutated with the guest role of Hugo in two episodes of that series, and next he appeared in Police Rescue: The Movie, G.P., Blue Heelers and a few television commercials. Within days of finishing his Commerce Degree, he earned the role of Ryan Scheppers in Heartbreak High. After that in he appeared in Dear Claudia in 1999.

At the Heartbreak High set, Rel learnt how to get to the lunch trays before the crew! Seriously, though, he has also learnt to take risks and to make things work for him.

Rel is quite romantic; he likes inviting the girl he fancies at a nice hotel.

His childhood dream was to become an undercover cop! That didn't come any farther than a dream though, as his first payed job was being a video shop clerk. His favourite food is palusami, and his sport hobby is rugby league. Rel's all time idols are Duran Duran. He likes spending time at the poolside with a barbecue and some beer, on a hot summers day, and wants to be remembered for his taste in music. Another thing he likes is honest straight forward people, but he dislikes the opposite: liars.

Rel and Ryan have very little in common. Ryan is the prodigal son, as he's been given everything and he takes it for granted. He has never worked for anything and never had to try too hard, also he lives for the moment. Rel does understand where Ryan is coming from. Ryan would do anything for the people he cares about, especially his sister Anita.
