Tasneem Roc

Tasneem, who plays Thania in Heartbreak, was born at the 11th of december 1978. Her mother's Scottish, and her father is Birmese, but they met in Australia, and that's where Tasneem was born. She's got a two years younger brother, James. Because of her father's job, the family lived in England for a year when Tasneem was 14.

She's pretty creative: like Thania, who made the paintings of Ryan-in-the-nude that upset Sarah, Tasneem herself paints as well, and is taking a course in making illustrations. Also she likes to write. In real life, she prefers a natural look over the colorful clothes and extreme hairdo's and make-up Thania wears.

When she was younger, Tasneem had pretty unrealistic dreams about growing up: she wanted to own a zoo and have lions for pets in her back garden. But from the age of 12, Tasneem wanted to act. She has had a few acting lessons at school, and looked for an agent at 18. After eight months, she got to be a figurant in Heartbreak High; she played a chick called Mariel. Later she got the role of Thania. Now she wants to do more acting, preferably in the theatre or a movie, and become better at it. But she's also taken up studying again, which she had stopped a year before Heartbreak. Her aim is to get her diploma.
