The legend Of the condor hereos (old version)

Starring :

Felix Wong Yat Wah Barbara Yung Mei Ling
Kenneth Tsang Kong Yeung Pang Pang
Miu Kiu Wai Ha Yu

Some info (peter fong): this version of the Legend Of The Condor Hereos is the second remake. There has been an even older version, but that was a looong time ago. I was still a baby then, so I can't possibly remember how it was. Maybe the slightly more mature viewers can provide me with more info?
This version with Wong Yat Wah and Yung Mei Ling is split into three different parts. Each with another themesong. The first part (teet hut tan sam) is the part that explains Kwok Ching youth and how he met Wong Yung. The second (tujng che sai tuk) is about the adventures they had and the third one (wah san lun kim) is of course the final confrontations.

Review: WOLYNGUYEN

I may not be an expert when it comes to Louis Cha's works, but I do know a
good series when I see one. The ORIGINAL Condor Heroes was (He means the version with Wong Yat Wah, but there was an even older version of Condor Hereos. PF), and is still is, no exception. Anyone who has seen both of the old and the new series, know that the old one is much better. First off who do you know can play Wong Yung better than Yung Mei-Ling? I felt the Wong Yung in the new series (Athena Chu) was trying to clone  the Wong Yung from the old version. No one could capture the charm, cleverness, and beauty like Weng Mei-Ling. I'm not one to be impressed easily, but this girl managed to make me think that she is one of the most enduring characters on the small screen.
And Yong Wat Wah? He was pretty good too.
Julien Cheng was okay. I'm glad he wasn't trying to copy someone else's performance, but he didn't capture the naive innocence, nor the need to help out people like Felix did. Barbara and Felix weren't the only ones. Who could forget Kenneth Tsang as Wong Yung's father? I could've sworn that he was my dad. There were so many others too.
I could go on and on like the energizer bunny about the other good things about the series, but I think there is no need to. I think people know how good the old version is, so why elaborate any further? Let's face it. There can (and will) probably be dozens and dozens of remakes, but it's going to be nearly impossible to top this one. So to all those ATV or TVB producers who are pondering on the possibility for another remake: Give it up.

  (Under construction!)
