FLIPPER - SEASON I

SEASON I (1964-1965)

Episode 1: 300 FEET BELOW (?)
When Flipper's antics cause a biologist to be stung by a 
scorpion fish, Porter Ricks closes the park.

Episode 2: DOLPHIN FOR SALE(?)
A fisherman captures Flipper with the intent of selling him as a high-priced trained dolphin. 

Episode 3: THE GULF BETWEEN (?)
Flipper helps save the life of a man barely alive following 
a shark attack.

Episode 4: THE LADY AND THE DOLPHIN Part I 
Bud and Sandy fail to impress a Congresswoman and they fear she'll send Flipper to a lab.

Episode 5: THE SECOND TIME AROUND (?)
Bud thinks a woman is trying to trick his dad into marriage 
so he spoils their chance at romance. Beautiful Kathryn Terrance visits  Porter Ricks just in time to spoil his plans for a game of water polo with  Sandy, Bud and Flipper. 
Convinced that she is trying to trick his father into marrying her, Bud sets out to prove that a landlubber like Kathryn could ever replace his real mother.

Flipper restores Bud's faith in old Hap Gorman and helps capture
lobster poachers.
Old Hap Gorman delights Bud with his tall tales of ocean bravery. When 
Porter's boat is smashed while searching for a gang of lobster poachers, 
Bud decides that he and Hap are the ones to capture the villians, but the 
old man shrinks with fear. However, Flipper saves the day by helping 
to restore Bud's faith in Hap and capture the villians at the same time.  
 
Episode 7: MY BROTHER FLIPPER
A fisherman claims Flipper is his brother reincarnated but meanwhile 
the man steals sea sponges. 
When Flipper comes to the aid of Alexis Demopoulos, an elderly sponge 
diver, Alexis believes that, according the the ancient Greek legend, 
Flipper is a reincarnation of his brother. Bud and Sandy 
go along with Alexis' story, but Porter is only interested in the 
fact that Alexis is actually a poacher, illegally taking the sponges 
from the Preserve. 

Episode 8: S.O.S. DOLPHIN 
When a former water skiing champ is paralyzed in an accident, only 
Flipper can restore her hope.
Ex-water-skiing champion Linda Granville becomes depressed when Sandy 
shows her a picture that he took while she was performing. Sandy discovers 
that she has become paralyzed due to an accident. Linda is so down that 
she will not even leave Coral Key Park during a hurricane, and 
is almost killed. Only when she strikes up a friendship with Flipper 
does she change her attitude and decide to work towards rehabilitating 
her legs. 
  
Episode 9: COUNTDOWN FOR FLIPPER
 
Bud and Sandy save Flipper from researchers who wrongly blame Flipper 
for a missing specimen.
Flipper tags along with Sandy and Bud as they deliver a shipload of 
supplies to an island for secret research of Coral Key. While the boys are 
unloading the supplies, Flipper inadvertently gets into 
an ocean pen where a valuable red snapper, the only survivor of a recent 
atomic test, is kept. 
A revenge-minded employee steals the fish, but the authorities mistakenly 
blame Flipper, and threaten to retrieve their specimen by any means 
necessary. Bud and Sandy discover the true culprit to save Flipper.  
 
Episode 10: THE RED HOT CAR 
Bud and Sandy get trapped in a sunken car armed with a bomb set to go off 
in 15 minutes.
Sandy, Bud and Flipper go diving near some junked cars that Porter had 
placed into the ocean as a haven for the fish. While investigating one of 
the cars, they discover bullet holes in the windshield. Upon learning that 
the car has been discovered, the culprits return to blow up the 
evidence. Against their father's orders, the boys return to investigate 
further, only to become trapped in the car, watching a time bomb set to 
go off in 15 minutes.  

Episode 11 THE LIFEGUARD
	9/Jan/65
Flipper becomes a lifeguard, saving a woman from a shipwreck, and her 
husband from an accident.
Flipper leads Bud to a beach where Lynn Borden lies semi-conscious 
after falling out of a boat 20 miles at sea. Speculation that Flipper 
had towed her the whole 20 miles leads Porter and Lynn's 
husband Carl to test Flipper's ability to be a lifeguard. When Carl 
is involved in an accident at sea, Flipper has a chance to prove himself. 
 
Episode 12 FLIPPER'S MONSTER
	10/Apr/65
Bud and Flipper are star-struck when an underwater monster movie is shot 
in Coral Key Park. The dolphin playfully interferes with production, 
angering the director who threatens Flipper's life.

Episode 13 MONEY TO BLOW
Flipper finds money in a shipwreck and Bud is surprised to learn it's 
counterfeit.
Difficulties occur when Flipper finds money in an underwater shipwreck and 
brings it to Bud. Bud goes on a spending spree, buying himself everything 
he ever wanted, as well as gifts for Sandy and Porter. The real trouble 
starts when the money turns out to be counterfeit. The shipwreck has 
been rigged to explode by the counterfeiters, and Porter must rescue 
his sons who have returned to retrieve more money. 

Episode 14  LOVE AND SANDY

Sandy embarks on two adventures - to win Bonnie's affection and to find 
her lost performing seal. 


Episode 15: MR. MARVELLO
A ventriloquist tries to convince Bud and Sandy that Flipper can talk 
and wants to join the circus. 

Episode 16 CITY BOY
Sandy and a city boy get stuck in a ship wreck and Flipper goes for 
help as the boys run out of air. 

Episode 17 THE MISANTHROPE
Sandy and Bud suspect an innocent man of looting but with Flipper's help, 
they find the real culprit. 

Episode 18 FLIPPER'S BANK ACCOUNT
	9/Jan/65
Flipper's discovery of a Spanish doubloon starts a gold rush in Coral Park 
and even Bud can't resist. 

19. TEAMWORK

During an underwater investigation, Porter is overcome by toxic chemicals. 
Sandy and Bud are unaware of his serious condition as they prepare for the 
start of the annual Coral Key Park swimming race in the same polluted 
waters.

On a fishing trip, Bud and Sandy climb aboard an abandoned boat 
that's about to be blown up. 

Episode 21 THE WHITE DOLPHIN
	13/Feb/65
After being missing for three days, Flipper returns to Coral Key Park 
with a most unusual friend -- an amazing albino dolphin. Porter Ricks 
discovers that some locals are attempting to trap the while dolphin to 
sell to poachers, and enlists the Miami Seaquarium's help. An exciting 
chase ensues between the poachers and the rescue team from the Seaquarium 
to capture the rare dolphin. 

Episode 22 THE LADY AND THE DOLPHIN Part II 
Bud and Sandy take a Congresswoman skin-diving and nearly lose her 
in a hurricane. 

Episode 23 THE DAY OF THE SHARK
Bud and Flipper endanger themselves and a research project by swimming in 
shark-infested waters. 

Episode 24: FLIPPER'S TREASURE

Flipper and Bud find treasure on a sunken Spanish ship but it's looted 
before anyone can investigate. 

Episode 25: SAILOR BUD
When Bud botches an attempt to rescue and injured man and his wife, 
Flipper rescues all three. 

Episode 26: DEEP WATERS
Porter is trapped in a submarine 150 feet under water and Flipper is 
his only hope of rescue. 

Episode 27 THE CALL OF THE DOLPHIN

A scientist creates artificial dolphin cries to lure Flipper out to sea 
with the hopes of capturing him.
Flipper, attracted by the sound of a school of dolphins, heads out to sea, 
against the efforts of Porter, Sandy and Bud. Only when they learn that 
the sounds are coming from a submarine manned by Dr. Kellwin, a scientist 
who looks to use Flipper in his experiment.

Episode 28 : FLIPPER AND THE ELEPHANT (part I)

To raise bail money for a wrongly accused man, Bud and Sandy put on 
an unusual sea show. 

Episode 31 BUD MINDS BABY

Diana, a little girl, strays away from her parents and winds
up in Porter's pickup truck. Bud finds the tot and takes her for a
ride in a raft, but it capsizes putting both their lives in
jeopardy.
Mimicking his TV hero, Bud gets caught in a dangerous riptide while 
trying to rescue a damsel. 

Episode 32: THE DITCHING PART I 
Sandy flies Flipper to the Bahamas to see an oceanographer but the 
plane crashes in the ocean. 

Episode 33: THE DITCHING PART II 
Flipper must risk his life to save Sandy, who is trapped in the 
wreckage of his plane, which crashed on a sand bar. As the cockpit 
rapidly fills with water, Flipper enlists the aid of nearby fishermen 
who are not eager to help.
