OMEGA IV is the first offering from JODMOFOCTOR Games.
OMEGA FOUR was built on the outskirts of the Solar System. Officially it acts as a high-tech space telescope/monitoring station created by the Internatiional Space Exploration Authority [ISEA]. Unofficially it is one of four bases for the secret organisation of the United States Galactic Military [USGM], headed by a group of fourteen men known as the Consortium. OMEGA IV, at the time of the story is positioned near the wormhole, which occurs every year for about a week. It opens up every seventeen hours in that week. The year before the crew of 25 ISEA/military employees was posted on the station, video footage of an alien craft by the wormhole was sent to Earth by an unmanned Scout craft, which was destroyed by the ship. The crew didn't find out about the wormhole until they reached the station, on the 23rd July, 2287, where a video of Ralph Jefferson, President of tthe ISEA and head of the Consortium, showed them their mission.
Now they know the truth.
There are two Universes, ours and the Dal Universe. A few billion years ago, the inhabitants of a star system on the Dal Universe discovered our Universe, and planted the Amino Acids needed for evolution on three young, inhabitable planets. By the 23rd century they had all evolved, mammalian human forms on Earth and in the Plaedes star cluster, and super-evolved insectoid bipeds on the other. The Plaedians are the most technologically advanced, and their planets are good and without war. The Terrans [us, in other words] are three thousand years behind technologically, and have a fairly peaceful planet, but are not without conflict. The other guys [dunno the name of their planets yet] are evil scum.
In Omega IV, the Head Alien and his Generals are from the baddies planet, and have taken over the indiginous lifeforms [Who grew by themselves and were not put here by the Dal Universe inhabitants], who are most of the bad guys. Terran Humans [us] are the only one of the Three who cannot use some form of telepathy, telekinesis or mind-control.
Ships travel with antimatter or fusion-powered impulse engines, or through Hyperspace. Terrans use Type 1 Hyperspace, enabling them to travel at about a billion miles a day for around ten days. Plaedians use the little known Type 2 Hyperspace. They have no time limit due to the high technology of their Hyperspace Shields, and can travel a light year a second. The baddies [Still can't think of a name] don't use Hyperspace. The Wormhole is a rift in space enabling passage from Omega IV to the baddie's home world in a couple of minutes, without the need for Hyperspace engines..
One day, suddenly and without warning; the baddies flew out of the wormhole and straight for OMEGA IV. Two of the crew, Rick Velasquez and Sarah Goodwin, were outside the station in one of the USGM's five secret Defender crafts when a disturbing message was heard over the radio. The aliens had boarded the station...
