The Story:  A time gate is opened by a young inventor and a teenage swordsman journeys into the past to rescue a friend.  It is up to this swordsman to defeat the evil entity Lavos, which is feeding off the earth, and solve bunches of problems throughout time with his friends.

Review: 9/10.  Chrono Trigger was a terrific RPG, but it was somehow lost among Square's ever-growing list of successful games.  The story line itself revolves around time travel and often doing adventures in the past will fix things in the future.  Most of the votes I received for Chrono Trigger indicated that it was a good game, but not as good as the Final Fantasy series.  Overall, it is a very cool game and definitely deserves your time.  Any way you look at it, Chrono Trigger was yet another of Square's RPG breakthroughs.
