"Woooa...this is your car?!?!? It's awesome!" Taylor exclaimed to Sierra in the parking garage at the hospital.
"Well, it's nothing much, but..."
"But it sure beats the Hanson family van!" Taylor interrupted Sierra, grinning. "But seriously, you have to admit it's a really nice car!"
"I guess," Sierra replied. "So, who wants shotgun?"
"You can have it, Tay," Paige said.
"Nah, that's okay. I'll just sit in the back with you and keep you company if that's alright," Tay said shyly.
"Sure," Paige answered, smiling.
"Thanks, guys; I love being a taxi driver," Sierra said jokingly. "So, which way do I go?" Sierra asked as they pulled out of the parking garage.
"Make a left here," Tay said.
"Okay," Sierra said as she sharply jerked her car to the left. "Oops, squirrel," Sierra lied as she looked in the back seat at a very embarassed Tay quickly getting off Paige's lap.
"Sorry," Tay muttered. Paige just smiled.
Geez, Tay, you gotta quit embarassing yourself like that. She's gonna tell all her friends that Taylor Hanson is a complete dork, Tay worried to himself.
"Hey Sierra, will you turn on the radio?" Paige asked.
"Sure, Paige," Sierra replied.
Sierra started flipping through the radio stations. "Awww-I loooove this song! Leave it here!" Paige gushed. "When I first saw you, I already knew that there wa...oops."
"What?" Tay asked.
"Oh, uhh...nothing," Paige replied. Ugh, I can't believe I just did that! she thought, I was just singing in front of one of the best singers in the world, and I have a terrible voice! Paige cringed and sunk down in her seat. Meanwhile, Tay was thinking about anything but her "terrible" voice.
Paige's mom made it sound like she likes me, Tay was daydreaming to himself, But no, she couldn't. I'm just plain old me, but Paige is different. She's not like other girls-when she met me she didn't scream, cry, or faint!
All of a sudden, Tay heard Monica's voice, "I look at you, looking at me. Now I know why they say the best things are free."
Tay glanced over at Paige. He caught her gaze, but then she quickly looked away. Maybe it's true. I hope so. I know I've just known her a couple of hours, but she's incredible, he silently hoped. All the way to 77th street, Taylor had the same lyrics in his head from "Angel of Mine".
"Oh, wait! Sorry!" Tay said as Sierra almost passed his street. "Turn left there."
"Here?"
"Yeah."
As they turned the corner, Paige said, "Lemme guess-it's that huge white house, right?"
"Well, actually...it's the little stone one across from it."
"Awww; it's so cute and cozy-looking!" Sierra stated, looking over at Paige. "What's with her?" she asked Tay. Paige was just staring off into space. She didn't even hear Sierra. Paige was just thinking about Sierra's comments on the house. Hmm...'wish I could "cozy" up on the couch with Taylor!
"Who are these people, Tay? You didn't tell us you had twelve girlfriends," Sierra said, laughing as they pulled into the gravel driveway.
"Funny, haha. Actually, I'm used to this kind of thing. Get ready to make a run for the front door!"
"Um, okay," Paige and Sierra said together.
As they got out of the car, the girls came charging, yelling "I love you, Taylor!", "Can we have your autograph?" and even, "Who are those girls with you, Tay?".
"Run!" Tay ordered as he sprinted to the front door, trying to unlock it.
Once they were safely inside from the screaming mob, Paige asked Taylor, "Don't you ever get sick of being famous?"
"It has its ups and downs," Tay replied as he excused himself to go use the bathroom.
When Sierra heard the door close, she burst out in a LOUD whisper, "OMIGOSH Paige, can you believe this? We are standing inside THE house we've been dreeeaming about visiting for the past two years! This is sOoOo cool! And it's actually not even that they are cute and famous, I mean Taylor-he seems really cool. He's actually treating us like his good friends and..."
"Sierra!"
".....I just can't wait to see the new little baby Hanson; it's gonna be sOoOo cu..."
"SIERRA!"
"Huh, what?!?!"
"That's what I've been wanting to talk to you about! Not the baby, but..." Paige blushed, "...Taylor. I know we just met, but I, this is gonna sound stupid, but I really think I might like him! He's just so..."
"Okay, I'm back!" Taylor announced, making Paige and Sierra jump.
"Oh, Tay, I uhh...I didn't see you there," Paige said, embarassed.
"Omigosh, she was talking about me---what was she gonna say?" Tay mumbled to himself.
"What did you say, Taylor?"
"Oh, I was just wondering what you...oh," Taylor realized what he was saying and tried to cover it up while blushing profusely,"what shirt you wanted to borrow...? I'm afraid if we take the time to wait on the "Pepsi" shirt to wash and dry, you won't get to visit your grandpa or else the baby will come without me there!"
Taylor seemed like he was acting kind of weird. Paige and Sierra exchanged a glance. "Oh....okay, Tay."
"Ummm...you could borrow a plain white or black shirt of mine, or no, you are pretty small. Why don't you come with me to find a shirt of Jessica's?" Tay asked.
They both looked at Sierra.
"Oh...don't mind me! I'll just be here...watching TV," she said, grinning mischeviously.
Paige walked beside Taylor to the laundry room. After finding a yellow Old Navy shirt of Jessie's for Paige to wear, Taylor sat up on the dryer, patting the spot beside him. "Hey, sit here. We can talk for awhile." He grabbed Paige's hand and pulled her up onto the dryer. Paige looked into Taylor's eyes. He didn't let go of her hand just yet. Then they heard, "Taaylooor, where is the bathroom at?"
"Oh...it's down the hall and to the left." Taylor dropped Paige's hand.
"Sorry...I just uh...I mean, we...we just met, so...sorry about that."
"About what? Oh...Uh, no problem. It was...it was fine. Really."
"It was? Wow...I mean, no-it wasn't. Let's just...let's talk for awhile."
"Okay...so, what's it like to..."
Sierra had eavesdropped on Taylor and Paige's conversation for about twenty minutes. She had gotten bored with that and went back to watching TV for awhile. But after another thirty minutes or so of watching Full House re-runs, Sierra couldn't take it anymore-she had to interrupt.
"Paige, Tay-oh...oops." Sierra smiled. Taylor was leaning against the wall, and Paige had her head leaning on his shoulder. They were both sound asleep. "Aww...this is cute, but-C'MON! The baby could be in the process of delivering RIGHT now!!!"
"What, huh? Oh...uh, sorry," Taylor smiled sheepishly. Paige sat up and rubbed her eyes.
She ran to the bathroom really fast and changed shirts. When she came out she said, "Okay-let's go."
"Looks like those girls outside finally gave up and left, but just in case, we should probably run," Tay advised as he looked out the window.
While Sierra was getting into the car, Paige and Taylor started to talk, waiting for her to unlock their door. Tay couldn't help himself. "I'm so...what, Paige?"
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
"When you were..."
"OMIGOSH! You were listening to me and Sierra talk when you were in the bathroom! You were, weren't you?" Paige accused him hysterically.
.::click::. Sierra unlocked the door.
"JORDAN TAYLOR HANSON! You little..." Paige pushed him into the car. She grabbed his rat tail and promised, "I'm not letting go until you tell me how much you heard. WHAT did you hear, Tay?" He laughed, so she pulled it harder. "WHAT did you HEAR?"
