Have you seen Yuko Miyamura? She is a famous voice actress in Japan. She is very popular. She sometimes appears on TV. Recently character voices often appear on TV programs. Formerly Ms. Aya Hirano who played the role of Ram in Urusei Yatsura by Rumiko Takahashi, a famous cartoonist in japan, often appeared on TV in 1980s. Hyperpolice is a popular cartoon. But rather minor. 3 comic books are published. TV-animation type Hyperpolice is broadcast at 25:15 - 25:45 every Thursday since 04/03/97 by TV-Tokyo. Yuko Miyamura plays the first leading role in the animation. However the title is broadcast in Tokyo only and have an average rating of 1.5 percent.
TV-Tokyo broadcasts original animations late at night at week day at present. Most of them is broadcast in Tokyo only. The story of animation is as follows;
In Holy Calendar 22, the number of human beings are decreasing and are protected all over the world. Most of people are "animal men" blending of human being and devil. Then licensed private policemen patrol aiming at prize money.
One of the private policemen in "Police Company" is 17-year-old girl Natsuki Sasahara, a Nekomata-half. Nekomata-half means a half between human being and Nekomata. Nekomata means a kind of goblin cat with a forked tail. She plays the active part with Sakura, a fox with nine tails using magic.
There do not seem enough work on the whole. Perhaps it caused that the title is not popular among Japanese Otakus and that it has a low-level rating. However, the development of the story, the impression of the picture, and the speediness of the action scenes of Hyperpolice is similar to that of You're Under Arrest. Fans of You're Under Arrest will be pleased with the story.
I do not understand the cause of Yuko Miyamura's emaciation. That she was transferred to another managing office at April, 1997. That Hyperpolice has a low-level rating. But "the continuation of reality" is much more exciting! Let's go with a straight ball!!! (She is the disc jockey of the program "Let's go with a straight ball!" (Japanese word: Chokkyu De Ikou) of Radio-Osaka.)
