Have you seen Yuko Miyamura? She is a famous voice actress in Japan. She is very popular. She sometimes appears on TV. Recently character voices often appear on TV programs. Formerly Ms. Aya Hirano who played the role of Ram in Urusei Yatsura by Rumiko Takahashi, a famous cartoonist in japan, often appeared on TV in 1980s. The situation was that TV reporters introduced the voice actress playing the role of Ram-Chan for child viewers. Ten years later around 1990, anime crisis was pointed out. Then voice actors had low income and animators were heavy workers. The crisis was avoided because EEI-TOEI was established in Philippines and animation productions in Korea helped production of Japanese animation. Then two famous voice actors Ms. Yuko Minaguchi as Yawara Inokuma and Mr. Ichirou Nagai as Jigorou Inokuma appears on newspapers. They pointed out that voice actors played toward blanks at postrecording. In 1992 Sailor Moon became very popular. Ms. Kotono Mitsuishi as Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon) and Ms. Aya Hisakawa as Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury) were idol stars. In 1997, there is Neon Genesis Evangelion. Ms. Megumi Hayashibara as Rei Ayanami becomes more and more popular. Recently she appeared on "Tetsuko No Heya (Tetsuko's Room)." The TV program is the most famous and popular interview program in Japan. Ms. Tetsuko Kuroyanagi interviewed her on her life. Moreover AERA, the most sophisticated weekly magazine in Japan, interviewed her on the voice actress boom recently. The 30-year-old character voice seems that she makes a fresh determination in order to remove the preconception on voice actors. A freshwoman Yuko Miyamura became popular in Eva. After the Third Impact, Asuka was still alive. The world after the Third Impact.
Hyperpolice is a popular cartoon. But rather minor. 3 comic books are published. TV-animation type Hyperpolice is broadcast at 25:15 - 25:45 every Thursday since 04/03/97 by TV-Tokyo. Yuko Miyamura plays the first leading role in the animation. However the title is broadcast in Tokyo only and have an average rating of 1.5 percent.
TV-Tokyo broadcasts original animations late at night at week day at present. Most of them is broadcast in Tokyo only. The Tsukuru in August, 1997 says TV-Tokyo can broadcast them because it costs TV-Tokyo 70 - 80 million yen a month to produce an animation and the cost is 70 - 80 percent of that of other stations.
I watched the minor animation. Volume Zero of Hyperpolice included an interview program. She was interviewed by Takeshi Kusao, a famous character voice. There the 24-year-old voice actress was emaciated.
She was born in Hyogo Prefecture and is a native speaker of Osaka-Dialect. She did not play the role of an Osaka-Dialect speaker. This time her partner Ms. Chiyako Shibahara plays the role of an Osaka-Dialect speaker. In the episode "Osaka Rhapsody" Yuko Miyamura spoke a word in Osaka Dialect.
The story of animation is as follows;
In Holy Calendar 22, the number of human beings are decreasing and are protected all over the world. Most of people are "animal men" blending of human being and devil. Then licensed private policemen patrol aiming at prize money.
One of the private policemen in "Police Company" is 17-year-old girl Natsuki Sasahara, a Nekomata-half. Nekomata-half means a half between human being and Nekomata. Nekomata means a kind of goblin cat with a forked tail. She plays the active part with Sakura, a fox with nine tails using magic.
There do not seem enough work on the whole. Perhaps it caused that the title is not popular among Japanese Otakus and that it has a low-level rating. However, the development of the story, the impression of the picture, and the speediness of the action scenes of Hyperpolice is similar to that of You're Under Arrest. Fans of You're Under Arrest will be pleased with the story.
I do not understand the cause of Yuko Miyamura's emaciation. That she was transferred to another managing office at April, 1997. That Hyperpolice has a low-level rating. But "the continuation of reality" is much more exciting! Let's go with a straight ball!!! (She is the disc jockey of the program "Let's go with a straight ball!" (Japanese word: Chokkyu De Ikou) of Radio-Osaka.)
