Comike is already near at hand. Comic Market 52 is scheduled to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo from 08/15/97 till 08/17/97. In the Comike, Video game fan clubs will sell Doujinshi books at 08/15/97 and Pornography Doujinshi books for adult males will be sold at 08/17/97.

Two examples of resent famous Doujinshi comics in Japan are "Moonfight" after Sailor Moon by Fusion Product and "Summer Children" after Neon Genesis Evangelion by Rapport. These two are sold at many book stores. They are categorized as Anthology Comics and consist of many 8-page short stories.
However main characters of these two are famous characters in popular TV animations. Copyright of these originals were ignored there.
By the way, after a battle against the Dark Star's Descent, the development of the story of Slayers TRY stopped for a while.
In a Japanese variety of parcheesi, "You must pass." (Japanese word: Ikkai Yasumi) TV-Tokyo in July 1997 broadcast Slayers TRY as if they had been given a sentence "You must pass four times."
I introduce two of these four acts of Slayers TRY. The 17th act "Kouka Tekimen? Koi No Yukue Ha Kami-hitoe" was a love story between male human being Kereru (Character Voice: Akira Ishida) and fish-shaped woman Raira (Character Voice: Megumi Hayashibara). Kereru spoke Tochigi dialect Japanese. Of course Akira Ishida played the role of Kaworu and Ms. Hayashibara played the role of Rei in Neon Genesis Evangelion. Moreover Kereru was like Kaworu and Raira was like Rei. The act was a parody of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Comet Soldiers "Peace Man" appeared on the 18th act "Tekizai Tekisho! Seigi No Sato No Ameria!" But These five who fought in the cause of justice were all the aged. They were so old that they were dying. Ameria and Gourry helped them and the story had a promised humorous surprise ending. The act was a parody of Power Ranger.
You know Don Quixote was a kind of parody. However these Doujinshi-like business may be extreme.
