Hideaki Anno's New Work is"Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou" which is broadcast by TV-Tokyo since October 1998.
On 10/02/1998, TV-Tokyo started Hideaki Anno's New Anime "Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou" at last. A lot of anime fans in Japan have been looking forward to seeing it for a long time. These two years Hideaki Anno made real performance films rather than anime.
This work is his new age anime which is different from his former works.

16. Cinecitta and Kawasaki Station
On a Sunday, Yukino rendezvoused with Souichirou near Kawasaki Station to see a movie. It was their first rendezvous. (As you know, it was broadcast as Act 5.5 "Kare No Yabou.")
They wanted to go to Cinecitta Kawasaki.
Cinecitta is a famous movie theater in Japan.
It consists of 8 movie theaters and a CD store "Tower Records."
This figure indicates Kawasaki Station.
North: Tokyo
South: Yokohama
West: Musashi Kosugi
East: Kawasaki Daishi Shrine or Tokyo Bay
Star 1: Cinecitta Kawasaki
Star 2: Saikaya, a department store
Formerly a performance film for TV was made there. Ms Yuki Saitou played the main role.
Star 3: Kawasaki Seibu, a department store
Star 4: Okada-ya More's, a department store
It is famous for its advertising posters.
Star 5: Keikyu Kawasaki Station, Keihin Kyukou Line
Star 6: North Exit of JR Kawasaki Station
Star 7: East Exit of JR Kawasaki Station
Kawasaki Stadium is also located near these buildings.

17. Act 5.0 "Hibi No Meikyu" (Daily Labyrinth)
Act 5.0 and Act 5.5 of anime-type "Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou" was broadcast on 10/30/98 in Tokyo and Osaka.
Then the 30 minute program consisted of two short stories.
The former part was called Act 5.0. The latter part was called Act 5.5.
Formerly Great Anime Director Akitarou Daichi produced the 90th episode of "Kodomo No Omocha" about January 1998. The 30 minute program also consisted of two short stories. There the former part was called 90A. The latter part was called 90B.
Generally speaking, in Japan, 30 minute anime program (accurately 25 min.) is divided into two parts. The former part is called A part. The latter part is called B part. A part can consist of opening anime, body and an eye-catch anime. B part can consist of an eye-catch anime, body, ending anime and trailer.
In Anno's new work "Kare-Kano" eye-catch anime is made as lettering type images without drawn images.
Act 5.0 "Hibi No Meikyu" (Daily Labyrinth)
Though Yukino and Souichirou began to go together, just after the preparation of Hokuei Seninor High School Athletic Meeting also began.
They could not meet each other.
Arima was very busy. He had to join it as an athlete.
Moreover he had to work as an executive, a constructor, a carrier and manager, a composer, a publisher, and a planner.
Miyazawa also had to work as an announcer, a receptionist, a totalizer, a scorer, and an athlete.
Two days before the Athletic Meeting, Yukino Miyazawa sobbed because she could not meet him.
Next day they met each other at last. Arima said, "I boiled down."
Arima felt everyday without Miyazawa had been monotonous.
Arima kissed Miyazawa. On the appointed day, they ate lunch together.

18. Act 5.5 "Kare No Yabou" (His Ambition)
The latter part is Act 5.5.
Mr. Hedeaki Asaba was loved by a lot of girls. He is in the 1-F class. He is tall and handsome. He approached Arima.
Therefore he came to Yukino. He said, "I found you a plane girl becasue I approached close to you."
She got angry.
Thay day Yukino began to fight against Asaba suddenly.
- Yukino kicked Asaba.
- Yukino robbed Asaba of a cup of coffee. She drank it.
- Asaba robbed Yukino of Chinese chicken noodles soup. He ate it.
- Asaba tried to kick Yukino. She escaped.
- Yukino spotted Asaba using a searchlight.
- Asaba tried to get rubbers on Yukino. She escaped.
- Yukino dropped a lot of balls from a landing to Asaba.
- Asaba showed Yukino a woolly bear.
Souichirou made a rendezvous with Yukino to see a movie on Sunday.
Yukino felt happy. Then Asaba appeared in front of Yukino. He told Yukino why he harassed her. He had his ambition. He wanted to be made a full of by a lot of girls.
He wanted to make a harem "Asaba Mary Land." Asaba thought approaching Souichirou would increase the number of girls who love Asaba.
Yukino said to Asaba, "You're the worst boy!"
But Asaba replied. "Well, you should think about yourself. Are you the best partner for Arima?"
She was hurt by his sharp words.
Souichirou got angry.
Souichirou said to Asaba, "I love her because she goes with me regardless of any advantage."
Their first rendezvous. Sunday. PM 1 O'clock.
In front of Cinecitta Kawasaki.
(Cinecitta Kawasaki is a very famous movie theater in Kawasaki.)
Yukino waited for Souichirou.
PM 2 O'clock.
Souichirou had not reached it yet.
Then Asaba appeared. He harassed Yukino. Yukino sobbed.
Asaba apologized to her.
At last Arima came there. Asaba stormed at Arima. "Apologize To HER!"
Yukino said, "I do not worry myself about him."
Asaba let Yukino say the line. Yukino thanked him.
Therefore these three got good friends with each other.
Asaba often stays at Arima's large house.
Thus a new character Hideaki Asaba (CV = Atsushi Kisaichi) was added.
In the original comics drawn by Mr. Masami Tsuda, he is called "Asapin." Asapin still approaches many girls. Arima stops him.
The "Kare-Kano" is Hideaki Anno's latest work. The great director uses lettering types and manuscript. He uses few lines because he writes its scenario by himself. Do you think such letters on pictures conpensate to the few lines?
