Hideaki Anno's New Work is"Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou" which is broadcast by TV-Tokyo since October 1998.
On 10/02/1998, TV-Tokyo started Hideaki Anno's New Anime "Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou" at last. A lot of anime fans in Japan have been looking forward to seeing it for a long time. These two years Hideaki Anno made real performance films rather than anime.
This work is his new age anime which is different from his former works.

38. Act 12.0 "ShiawasenoArika" (The place of the happiness)
Act 12.0 of Kare-Kano was broadcast on 12/18/98 in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
First, Director Anno showed a Playback. A naration was performed by Yuki Watanabe and Maria Yamamoto. The naration dealt with all the episodes of the anime. However the picture only dealt with Tsubasa Shibahime.
In the evening, Tsubasa Shibahime came to Yukino's with Yukino. Then Yukino took Maho there. Maho complained.
Tsubasa said, "I will not acknowledge my papa's marriage."
Second, Tsubaki Sakura came to Yukino's to pick uo Tsubasa. But Tsubasa complained. She said, "At first you've served my purpose."
(What? If Tsubaki were I, I would get very angry!!!)
Of course Tall Tsubaki scolded and hit Tsubasa. Tsubaki had already reported to Tsubasa's father on her action. When Tsubaki went to the station with Yukino, Tsubaki explained Tsubasa's history to Yukino.
Tsubasa's mother died when Tsubasa was born. Then Tsubasa was confided to other's care. In her childhood, she always squatted in a corner. Her basic emotion is not saturated. Therefore she began to complain at his father's marriage.
Director Anno explained such emotion of Shibahime using real monochromatic photographs of crossing.
Yukino thought. Souichirou Arima knew Tsubasa's emotion was not saturated. Therefore he regarded her as his real younger sister. He regarded her as "the like."
Yukino thought. When the two appeared side by side, it looks beautiful. However it also looks very sad.
In the night, at last, they ate supper. At first Tsubasa began to eat it. Maho still complained. After supper, Miyazawa family and Maho played the UNO game.
UNO is a kind of card game.
The original cartoon does not deal with the card game scene.
Director Anno explained the game in detail.
Tsubasa did not join it. Tsubasa slept alone.
Miyazawa family looked joyful. Tsubasa thought a normal family usually looked joyful. Therefore Arima began to be interested in her. For Tsubasa, it looks annoying. When Arima stayed with such a family, did he feel hard?
Third, Bichichi appeared. Tsubasa's beautiful father Toshiharu Shibahime (CV=Hisoka Yamamoto) resembled Asaba. He came to Yukino's with Ms Hiromi Ikeda (CV=Tagame Tamura). He looked powerless.
Ms Ikeda is a nurse. Her husband was formerly dead. She has a son at the first grade of a senior high school. He began to talk about their randezvous.
Their randezvous were always seeing movies. The two liked sword fight. Therefore their randezvous did well.
Their favorite line-up;(Of course they needed not explain their favorite line-up at Yukino's house!!!)
Nemuri Kyoushirou (At present, Tsumasaburou Bandou's son Masakazu Tamura plays the role of Nemuri Kyoushirou. But most of movie fans in Japan love Late Raizou Ichikawa's Nemuri Kyoushirou.)

Of course Tsubasa got angry.
Tsubasa cried, "Don't talk about your randezvous!"
She said, "I need not new families. I don't like other people to enter my home. I don't like my papa to smile with other woman. I cannot regard that woman as my mother."
Then Ms Ikeda said, "Tsubasa-chan, do you dislike me?"
After a long interval, Tsubasa said, "Yea. (Japanese: Un)"
But the father got angry. Then Tsubasa also got angry.
Tsubasa said, "I want to like only with my papa."
Ms Ikeda reached her hand to Tsubasa. But Tsubasa said, "Don't touch me! Shit!!!"
Of course, the father hit Tsubasa.
Tsubasa began to cry out. She said, "I've never been hit by my papa yet."
Yukino said to herself, "Do-shura (Extremely Shambles)."
Yukino's mother proposed Tsubasa should stay at Miyazawa's house tonight.
Tsubasa's father and Ms Ikeda went home.
In the mid night, they (Yukino, Maho, Tsubasa, Kano and Tsukino) slept together.
Tsubasa said to Yukino, "I don't like all males. At first they treated me tenderly. Thereafter at last they always choose other women."
Yukino said to herself, "I hope someday someone appeared in front of her. I wish the man saturate her heart."
The other place.
It was a live house "Show Boat." A rock singer sang.
The rock group's voice consisted of the anime staff.
(Mr. Tamotsu NIshiwaki, Mr. Shinji Higuchi, Mr. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, and Mr. Makoto Kamiya)
The vocal's hair was bleached. He was at the first grade of a senior high school. His name was Kazuma Ikeda (CV=Akira Ishida).
He was popular. He was called "Zumappie."
Yes, he is the son of Ms Ikeda.
On the other hand, Tsubasa's fahter said at his house, "If all the peopke think together, we may find the happier place than the present one..."
Ending real performance film did not include vocals.
In the preview, Ms Yuki Watanabe said, "I want my boyfriend, too."

39. What is Voice Lugger?
Voice Lugger started on 01/13/99. The real performance film was made by Solt and Ogura's Office supported by Yoyogi Animation Gakuin, Tokyo. The show is broadcast by TV-Tokyo.
It was based on Late Shoutarou Ishinomori's cartoon. The show was directed by Touru Hirayama and Noboru Takemoto, written by Hideki Sonoda. BGM was composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi. Theme songs were sung by Ichirou Mizuki and Hironobu Kageyama. The narrator was Shinji Nakae.
It was made as a so-called "Tokusatsu Hero Series (real performance shows with special effects and fantastic heroes)." Such series have been made by Toei corp. But this film was not made by Toei. Most of actors there are famous voice actors in Japan. The point is different from Toei Tokusatsu films.
Therefore voice actors play the role of heroes showing their faces.
Ms Akiko Nakagawa plays the role of "Voice Lugger Ruby" Akiko Homura. Ms Haruna Ikezawa plays the role of "Voice Lugger Rose" Haruka Yuuki. Mr. Tomokazu Seki plays the role of "Voice Lugger Emerald" Tomokazu Daichi. Mr. Takeshi Kusao plays the role of "Voice Lugger Sapphire" Takeshi Tenma. Mr. Ichirou Mizuki plays the role of "Voice Lugger Gold."
As you know, these five are not professional actors. They hardly appear on TV shows. However they are not plain.
Mr. Takeshi Kusao is famous for the role of Hanamichi Sakuragi from SLAM DUNK. Recently he plays the role of Hiroyuki Miyazawa from "Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou." He gets popular again.
Story:
Many years ago, Voice Lugger Gold fought against Emperor Gember in a planet. Gember tried to control all the space. Gember had belonged to the Voice Land. He began to act as the evil. He left it to control all the space. Special people in the Voice Land have their own "Voi-stone (Voice Stone)." Such people can change themselves into "Voice Lugger" to fight against the evil to keep the peace in the space. "Voice Lugger" can slug their own voice as a weapon.
Voice Lugger Gold (Ichirou Mizuki) was defeated and was wounded. But Gember (voice: Shouzou Iizuka) was also wounded and escaped. Voice Lugger needed recovery time. Therefore he made four little children in the Voice Land escape and live in the earth.
One day, a young woman came from Tochigi prefecture to Tokyo. Her name is Ms Akiko Homura (Akiko Nakagawa). She loves "Tokusatsu Hero" very much. She always wants to be a "Tokusatsu heroine." She still remembers her accident in her childhood. She has a friend, Ms Haruka Yuuki (Haruna Ikezawa). She lived in Los Angeles. She also came to Tokyo. They began to live together. They did not have jobs. They began to work as a voice actresses at "Voice Production" because President of "Voice Production", Sakura Takahata (Yuri Nakao) heard their loud voice.
A burglar attacked Akiko in the night. Akiko used her voice. The voice changed strong wave to throw the burglar. Then Akiko awoke herself into "Voice Lugger Ruby." Thereafter Haruka awoke herself into "Voice Lugger Rose." When the two fought against an enemy leader "Buzzerma," two other Voice Luggers came to help Ruby and Rose. The two were Sapphire and Emerald. The true character of the two were two voice actors, Tomokazu and Takeshi.
In the program, Takeshi Tenma (Takeshi Kusao) was regarded as a lecherous and scatterbrain uncle. Takeshi Tenma often seduces Akiko, but she dislikes him.
On 12/26/98, a local department store "Matsudo Isetan" held an autograph meeting of Cartoonist Yun Kouga. But at the same time, Matsudo Isetan held an exhibition of Late Rosanjin Kitaouji. He is famous for the greatest cook and ceramic artist before World War II. He is the model of Yuzan Kaibara from "Oishinbo." The price of his several ceramics was 1,200,000 yen. Yukino's Father wondered if 1,200,000 yen "sapphire" would make him Voice Lugger Sapphire.
