"If those girls don’t get back soon, that boy is done for!" exclaimed the nurse. She reached over the boy and touched his forehead. A wave of fear and worry rushed to her. One statement repeated in that wave of thought. ‘Join power.’ "What was that," the nurse wondered.

As if the girls could read his thoughts, they all of a sudden knew what to do. They stood two arms length away with both arms straight up. Then they swung the arm closest to their partner, downward till their fists came together.
With the shout of "Joined Power!" There was a light that blinded all. After a few seconds it was gone, and where two girls had stood, there was only one. It was a female with the hair a color of fire and eyes colder than ice.
"For the sake of saving our friend, I am going to have to destroy you!" it spoke in a voice of the two girls at the same time. A purple jewel on the middle of her forehead flashed. It sent a giant ice ball from the sky and captured the beast. Then the girl cloaked herself in flame and charged at the beast. It was knocked out and the girl became two once more. The black-headed ice user went to the monster and grabbed the amulet from around its neck. They started to head to the stairs, but as they did so, the beast rose yet again. It roared a terrifying roar as the girls turned to face it yet again.
The girls split up and ran to the two separate sides of the beast. It looked confused but decided which one it would attack. He turned to the black-headed ice user, opened its mouth and blasted the girl with a gray mist. She clasped at her eyes. The spray had some toxin in it that blinded the monster’s victims.
"What’s WRONG?!?" shouted the blond headed fire user.
"I’ve… gone blind!" she pulled her hands away to reveal her non-seeing eyes.
"What!" exclaimed the fire user. At that moment the monster chose to attack again. It charged toward the black headed ice user. The blond-headed girl was fast and ran toward her friend to save her. But she was too late to move. The monster’s charge shoved the ice user off the side of temple. She plummeted into the brush below. The amulet that had been in her hand fell from her hand and landed on the edge of the temple.
"NOOOOOO! Please don’t die! Please! Someone help her!" shouted the fire user as she watched her friend fall. "I’ll get revenge for you my friend!"
Around the girl was an aura of red, she was mad now and wasn’t going to let a stupid monster stop her. She wrapped herself in fire and charged at the monster. But it dodged.
"Alright, that’s it! Fire Rains!" she casted a spell. A storm of fire fell onto the monster and it went up in flame. The beast turned into its human form and lay there, out cold. The fire user walked over and picked up the amulet.
"Take that and put it in the slot in the door…then
take all the berries. Do…not wear it. It makes the user become
the guardian of the temple…" gasped the boy on the ground. The girl
walked down the stairs and did as she had been told. She stepped
into the door, and once in there she found a bush in the middle that had
five berries all aglow.
She took a berry and with the boy’s head in
her lap, she fed it to him and healed him with her powers.
"Come," she said once he woke up, "we have to go find my friend!"
"Why'd you save me?" the boy asked.
"Uh…." She flushed. "Who else would help me find my friend?"
They walked down the temple stairs and searched the grounds around the temple. They finally found the black headed girl up in a tree. The boy climbed up and retrieved the girl.
They set up a camp around the stairs of the temple; the ice user was still unconscious. The next day, the boy carried their friend as they traveled. They walked through beautiful plains and the fire user stopped more then once to pick rare flowers to view later. By nightfall, they reached the tree that had been their gate to the world. After making camp around it that night, they traveled to the world their friend was left in. Traveling through the forest, they knew it would take most of the day to get to their wounded, red, spiky headed friend.
"So…what’s the story behind you?" asked the blond headed girl.
"Well, I’d like to know about you guys first…"said the boy.
"You first!" said the girl, cheerily.
"Alright…here goes…" sighed the boy.
