Color page: Eriol stands in the foreground, with Clow Reed mirroring him. Clow looks slightly thoughtful, Eriol looks slightly evil.

pg. 5

Yue whirls toward the window and sees Sakura standing there with tears in her eyes.

pg. 6

Yue: So you were listening?

Sakura: A little bit ago... I heard that Yukito-san had collapsed at Seijou, and I was worried, so... I know where the infirmary is because Oniichan told me once before...

Her tears spill over.

Sakura: I'M SORRY...!

pg. 7

Sakura: Because my power isn't strong enough... Yukito-san might have disappeared... if he hadn't taken Oniichan's power, something awful would have happened...!

pg. 8

Sakura: *covering her face* ...I'm sorry...

Yue approaches and kneels down by her.

Yue: The guardians of the Clow Cards and the Cards themselves are creations of Clow Reed, a magician without parallel. It's natural that you, still a child, aren't able to support them all.

pg. 9

Behind them, we see Touya sleeping on the bed in the background.

Yue: ...If you cry, it will cause him sorrow.

He gently brushes away Sakura's tears.

Yue: I made a promise to protect you. So don't cry.

pg. 10

Sakura: .......Okay.

She steps toward the bed and takes her brother's hand in hers.

Sakura: ...I'm sorry, Oniichan. If anything happened to you, I'd come right away.

pg. 11

Her tears well up again as she looks down on him.

Sakura: I swear I'd protect you.

Yue watches, an expression of that might actually be mild caring on his face. {^_^;}

pg. 12

We see Yukito's glasses sitting on the side of the bed.

Sakura: You're kind, aren't you?

Yue: Who?

Sakura: You.

Yue raises an elegant eyebrow.

Yue: ...Both of you, brother and sister, keep saying these strange things. That I resemble my temporary form, that I'm kind.

Sakura: You are like him. No, actually, I think you're the same.

pg. 13

Yue looks dubious.

Yue: In what?

Sakura: *smiling* In everything.

pg. 14

Both of them are suddenly startled by something. They turn toward the window.

Sakura: I can sense Clow!? Again!?

Yue swiftly pulls back the shade and looks out.

pg. 15

Perched in a nearby tree, hidden from view, someone is lurking...

Eriol: ...If Sakura-san's power continues to increase in this fashion, as I expected, it'll be difficult to hide any longer.

He smiles happily.

Eriol: ...Let's hurry, shall we?

pg. 16

Back in Sakura's classroom.

Terada-sensei: The preparations for tomorrow's Mock Business are all finished, correct?

[On the blackboard is written "Mock Business Contest: Sweet Parlor," followed by a list of tasks.]

Class: (Ye--eees.)

Terada-sensei: Since it looks like the other classes are doing lots of interesting things as well, let's all try our best, okay? (The champion class wins a prize.)

Class: (Yea--aaah!)

Terada-sensei: All right. The information about the Mock Business is on these handouts, so when you go home, be sure to give them to your families. Since tomorrow's Sunday, parents and siblings will be able to participate, too. If there's someone you'd like to have come, ask them right away.

pg. 17

Sakura gazes at her printout, looking sad.

Tomoyo: Did something happen?

Sakura: Yeah. ...Kind of.

Nearby, Shaoran looks worried, while Eriol smiles.

pg. 18

Outside, as the kids leave for home.

Sakura: It's my turn to cook tonight, so I'm going home early, okay?

Tomoyo: Yep, see you tomorrow.

Shaoran: Take care on your way home!

Sakura: *smiling* I will. Thanks.

pg. 19

Tomoyo and Shaoran gaze after her as she leaves, both worried.

Tomoyo: I wonder what happened to Sakura-chan. (She's really down.) Have you told her?

Shaoran turns read and sweatdrops violently.

Shaoran: I... I was just about to tell her, when all of a sudden we heard that scream from Seijou High School.

Tomoyo: Tsukishiro-san collapsed, didn't he? And her brother went to the infirmary... I wonder if something happened to them.

pg. 20

Back at the Kinomoto house.

Sakura: I'm home.

Kero: *flying downstairs* WELCOME BACK!

Sakura: Kero-chan!

Kero: Everything's okay! Nobody's come to the house! (Your brother's not back yet, either.)

Sakura: Oniichan knows.

Kero: What?

Sakura: About you and Yukito-san and Yue-san.

Kero: WHAT!

pg. 21

Sakura: You knew too, didn't you? That because my power wasn't strong enough, Yue-san might disappear.

Kero looks somber.

Kero: ...I knew.

Sakura: Why didn't you tell me?

Kero: Because I didn't want to cause your face to look like this. If I'd told you, you would have thought, "I'll do something!" and tried to do the impossible. Because of that, Yue and I decided it was better not to say anything.

pg. 22

Sakura: You... you and Yue-san have been doing nothing but sheltering me, haven't you...

Kero: It's not sheltering. You said to us before, didn't you, that instead of being our master, you wanted to be our friend, and it's natural to care about a friend.

He flies up close to her face.

Kero: Just like the way you care about us, we love you.

pg. 23

Sakura: ...Thank you.

Kero: But since Yue said it would be dangerous, how'd you find out?

Sakura: Today at Seijou High School...

pg. 24

[After the story-telling.]

Kero: ...I get it. Yue took your brother's power, huh? And the pulse of that power matched perfectly.

Sakura: Yue-san said so. He said that Oniichan's power was like Clow-san's.

Kero: (Well, he may have been kind of twisted, but...) Clow was really an incredible magician. There was nobody who could match him. Before I came to Tomoeda District, I hadn't seen anyone whose power even came close to his, but... Come to mention it, the pulse of your power is similar to Clow's, too.

pg. 25

Sakura: It is?

Kero: Yeah. Since you're the new owner of the Clow Cards, it's not surprising that your power's similar, but it's really strange that yours is closer than that kid's who is Clow's distant relative.

The doorbell rings, startling them.

Sakura: *picking up phone* Yes?

[Apparently the Kinomoto doorbell/phone/intercom system is connected in mysterious high-tech ways.]

Yukito: *cheerfully* Hello!

Outside, Yuki is propping up a slumped-over, still unconscious Touya.

Sakura: Yukito-san! Oniichan!?

pg. 26

In Touya's room. Yukito has already put Touya to bed.

Yuki: Since Touya hasn't woken up at all, I brought him home. (Just the opposite of before, isn't it?)

Sakura: Are you feeling better now?

Yuki: Yeah. I don't really understand it, but the tiredness seems to have gone away, too.

Sakura smiles in relief.

Yuki: Since Touya said he can't miss his part-time job for any reason, I'm going in his place. (If he wakes up, you'll tell me?)

Sakura: Yes.

Yukito turns to leave.

Sakura: Um...!

Yuki: What is it?

Sakura: Tomorrow at my school there's going to be a Mock Business Contest. Would you come?

pg. 27

Yuki: Sunday, right?

Sakura: Yes.

Yuki: *smiling* I'll be there.

He leaves. From the window, Sakura watches him hurry down the street.

pg. 28

Banner: Tomoeda Elementary MOCK BUSINESS CONTEST.

Sakura is holding a serving tray and wearing a disgustingly cute waitress outfit with a poofy skirt and ruffly apron. All the the girls are wearing the same, while the guys are in disgustingly cute waiter outfits with vests and bowties.

Naoko: I'm so glad that there are lots of customers.

Rika: Me too.

Takashi: It's because it's a Sweet Parlor!

pg. 29

Takashi: It began years ago, in the highlands of Giano, when an American named Paula... {In katakana, "parlor" and "Paula" are written the same. Takashi is punning. Be afraid.}

Chiharu: Here! Take this to the table with the party of three!

Naoko: Impressive, Chiharu-chan. (To stop Yamazaki-kun short!)

Takashi: (It was the cactus juice of that place that became popular...)

Sakura comes running up to Shaoran and Eriol.

Sakura: You both look great!

Eriol: Thank you very much. You look nice as well.

Sakura: Thanks!

[Shaoran just turns red and stares at Sakura.]

pg. 30

Sakura glances over her shoulder to see Yukito coming through the door.

Student: Welcome!

Sakura: YUKITO-SAN!!

Yukito: *smiling* What a cute waitress.

Sakura: *blushing* (Tomoyo-chan made the patterns and we all helped sew them.)

Yukito: (That's great.)

Tomoyo appears and reaches for Sakura's tray.

Tomoyo: I'll take your place.

Sakura: Tomoyo-chan!

pg. 31

Tomoyo: *whispering* You go and show Tsukishiro-san around.

Sakura: *whispering* Thanks.

She goes off with Yukito as Shaoran watches.

Yukito: (Is it all right for you to leave?)

Sakura: (Yeah.)

Eriol stands by and smiles.

pg. 32

Yukito: It's amazing that the students of Tomoeda have prepared all of this.

Sakura gazes at his smiling face and smiles. {Flowers everywhere. Ugh.}

Sign: Gymnasium - Road of the Stars

Yukito: Shall we go in and see this "Road of the Stars"?

Sakura: *blushing* Okay.

pg. 33

They walk through a curtain into a room filled with hanging star-shaped lights.

Yukito: (Oh, I get it.) These light bulbs are the stars, aren't they?

He turns to Sakura.

Yukito: How is Touya?

Sakura: He's still sleeping.

Yukito: *eyes downcast* I see...

Sakura looks up at him.

pg. 34

Sakura: ...Yukito-san.

Yukito: What is it?

Sakura: *blushing* .......I....... like...

Yukito smiles encouragingly {and cluelessly}.

pg. 35

Sakura: ...you.

Yuki looks down at her with some surprise as the "stars" twinkle around them.

pg. 36

Yukito: ...I like you too, Sakura-chan. But... I'm not the person you like best.

Sakura: *eyes wide* ...Huh?

Yukito: Sakura-chan, you love your dad very much, don't you?

Sakura: Yes.

Yukito: And what about me?

Sakura: *very red* ...I like you.

pg. 37

Yukito: Aren't those feelings the same?

Sakura looks startled.

Yukito: Your feeling of loving your dad, and your feeling of liking for me, aren't they very much alike?

For a moment, she is silent, clutching her hands together.

pg. 38

Sakura: *closing her eyes* ...They're alike.

Yukito kneels down to talk to her face-to-face.

Yukito: I do look a lot like Fujitaka-san. I'm not evading this because I think you're a only a child.

Sakura: ...I understand. ...Have you always known?

pg. 39

Yukito: ...Yeah. It made me really happy that you cared about me like I was one of your family.

Sakura: Did you know because you have someone that you like better than anyone else, too?

Yukito: ...Yeah, I guess so.

Sakura: ...Is it my brother?

His eyes go wide. Then he smiles, a little ruefully.

Yukito: ...Yeah.

pg. 40

Sakura begins to smile again.

Sakura: All Oniichan does is act mean, but underneath he's really nice.

Yukito: *smiling* Yeah.

Sakura: Because he's a shy person, he'll probably start teasing you again right away.

Yukito: Yeah. ...But even though I think of Touya as my number-one person, I still don't know how he feels about me.

Sakura: I'm sure Oniichan thinks of you as his number-one, too. *murmuring* I think that's why... he gave his power to Yue-san.

pg. 41

Yukito: Eh?

She shakes her head quickly.

Sakura: I'm really happy that Oniichan is the person my dearest Yukito-san likes best.

Yukito: *smiling* ...Sakura-chan.

Sakura: But if Oniichan is ever mean to you, please call me! 'Cuz I'll beat him up!

Yukito: *smiling* Thanks.

pg. 42

He reaches down to lift Sakura's chin.

Yukito: ...I'm sure you'll find him. The person that you'll like best. And I'm sure that person will think of you as his number-one, too.

pg. 43

Yukito: Once you find that person, tell me, okay? Because if he ever makes you cry, I'll beat him up.

Sakura: ...Okay.

She smiles and reaches to take his outstretched hand.

pg. 44

At that moment, all the light bulbs around them suddenly shatter, sending shards of glass flying. Yukito grabs Sakura to shield her. Magic begins to unfurl around him...

pg. 45

...and he transforms into Yue. Vast white wings protect them both from the falling shards.

Sakura: WHAT'S HAPPENING!?

[To be continued.]
