Takashi: *cheerfully* Something wrong, Ri-kun?

Shaoran shoves his serving tray at Takashi.

Shaoran: Here, take this!

As he dashes toward the door, Tomoyo sees him.

Tomoyo: Ri-kun?

Shaoran: I sense magical power! Something might have happened to her!

Tomoyo: *alarmed* To Sakura-chan!?

She shouts after him.

Tomoyo: RI-KUN!

Yue: Since the power level's rising, I can sense it clearly. There's no doubt, it feels like Clow.

Sakura: *bewildered* But Clow-san is...!

Voice [from outside the curtains]: 'Road of the Stars,' huh? Let's go in and take a look--

Sakura: Someone's coming! RELEASE!

Sakura: Lure them into a labyrinth and show them an illusion! MAZE! ILLUSION!

Together the Cards create an alternate version of the room, which the students outside unknowingly enter.

Kids: Hey, cool! It looks like a planetarium!

Sakura: It feels like the power's increased again!

Yue: Yes.

Sakura [thinking]: Where's it coming from?

She dashes off.

Sakura: This way!

Yue: Wait!

She races toward another set of curtains on the far side of the room and pushes them aside.

And behind the curtain, holding in his hand a very tall magical staff, is...

Sakura: ...Eriol... kun

A bright light emanates from the end of the staff, which is shaped like a radiating sun or star. Sakura falls unconscious.

Before she can collapse, Eriol catches her gently.

Eriol: *smiling* You found me, didn't you?

He carefully lowers her to the ground.

Eriol: For two of the cards to be altered at one time ...certainly your power has grown stronger.

Back in the other room, Yue stares as a sword slices through the curtains.

Shaoran: SAKURA!

He charges through the opening he's made and runs into Yue.

Shaoran: Where's Sakura!?

Yue: This way.

Together they run after her {er, well, Shaoran runs, Yue sort of levitates.}

Yue: Did you defeat Maze in coming here?

Two cards suddenly whiz through the air past Shaoran: Maze and Illusion.

Shaoran: The Cards are...!!

Back in the Road of the Stars, the kids gaze at their surroundings.

Kids: It's different from before, somehow, isn't it?

Yue: Something has interrupted my master's power.

Shaoran: SAKURA!!

Sakura [dreaming]: ...Where... is this...?

In her mind's eye, she sees a large, old-looking house with trees in the front, and then, inside, Kerberos and Yue standing in front of a seated figure.

Sakura [thinking]: Kero-chan... Yue-san...

Yue: What do you mean?

Clow: I mean what I said, Yue.

Sakura [thinking]: CLOW-SAN...!?

Clow: Today I am going to leave you.

Sakura: EH!?

Kerberos: That's not a very funny joke, now is it?

Clow: I'm sorry, but it isn't a joke, Kerberos.

Yue: WHY!?

Clow: My life span is over.

Kerberos: Your character may be twisted, but you are the world's best magician. We, whom you created, know that better than anyone.

Kerberos: No matter how many hundreds of years you live, your magical power won't weaken at all.

Clow: Even so, all living things come to the same end. ...Therefore, I too must make preparations.

Kerberos: What kind of preparations?

Clow: Preparations for the person who will love and care for you after me.

Yue: *distraught* I don't want another master...

Clow reaches out and strokes Yue's hair.

Clow: Then it's best if you decide whether that person is suitable to be your master or not.

Yue: *bowing his head* ...No one else is suitable.

Clow: It would be unfair for Yue alone to choose. I'll ask Kerberos to decide on the candidacy.

Kerberos: Are you really serious about this?

Clow merely smiles.

Kerberos: And we can't stop you, can we?

Clow [to Yue]: I'm certain that a new master you'll approve will appear.

Yue: I don't need a new master... I'll sleep in the book forever... I hope I never wake up again.

Clow embraces Yue one last time.

Clow: You two and the Clow Cards are creatures I poured all of my heart into creating, with all of my power. Because of that, after I am gone, I want you to be happy at the side of your new master.

He puts Yue to sleep and seals him within the book of Clow Cards.

Kerberos: You know Yue's personality better than anyone, right? I seriously doubt he's going to accept another master.

Clow: That's why I want you to choose a new master you both will accept.

Kerberos: Damn. You really are stubborn.

He nudges against Clow's hand.

Kerberos: Considering that your personality is rotten, you're moody, your power's way too strong, and you're all otherworldy, you really are kind of a freak, but... I have to say, you were a good master to me.

Clow kneels down and embraces him.

Clow: Thank you.

He seals Kerberos as the guardian beast of the book of Cards.

Clow: ...Well then. I will perform my final magic working.

She wakes up slowly to find herself outside, lying at the foot of a tree, with Shaoran and Yue leaning over her. The cards Maze and Illusion are in her hands.

Shaoran: Are you all right!?

Yue: ...What happened?

Sakura: ...I had... a dream...

In the branches of a nearby tree, Eriol is lurking, still dressed in his waiter outfit.

Eriol: Even though you only just touched my power, to dream of the the Clow Cards' past means...

He smiles happily.

Eriol: It means... it'll be soon, won't it?

Back at Sakura's house.

Kero: A dream about the day Clow died?

Sakura: Clow-san was sitting in a chair, and you and Yue-san were there.

Kero: What kind of house was it?

Sakura: There was a fireplace, and in front of that, the one chair...

Kero: That was a dream of the past, then. You can see what actually happened in the past in a dream. We really lived in that house you saw.

Sakura: Clow put both you and Yue-san back in the book before he died, didn't he?

Kero: WHAT? No, Yue and I had been caring for him, so...

We see Yue's figure in the background.

Yuki: My memories sometimes disappear, too, because of the other person I become. All of my memories, up until now... have really been lies, haven't they?

Touya: But the ones since you met me have been true, haven't they?

He takes Yuki's hand in his and smiles.

Touya: As long as you're close to me, spaced out and smiling like always, I'll be happy.

Yuki: *starting to smile* ...Thanks...

Tomoyo: You'll go to bed early and get some sleep tonight, won't you?

Sakura: Yeah. Since I'm done getting groceries for dinner, I'll go straight home. (Thanks for coming along shopping with me! See you tomorrow!)

Shaoran: (See you tomorrow.)

Tomoyo: (Bye!)

Sakura (to Shaoran): Thank you, too. (For carrying the bags.)

Shaoran: I'll come with.

Sakura: Eh? But it'll be a long way for you. (Isn't your house that way?)

Shaoran: I don't mind.

Sakura: Well then, you want to stop at the park for a little bit?

Shaoran: S... sure.

Sakura: So today... I told Yukito-san. That I like him.

Shaoran freezes.

Shaoran: Oh... was that it.

Sakura: But, you know... Yukito-san said, "Your number-one person isn't me."

Sakura: My feelings about him and my feelings for my dad... aren't they alike? he asked. ...So I thought about it. They really are... a lot alike.

I think that's true. "If Yukito-san is happy, then I'll be happy, won't I?" I thought.
