Color page: Touya and Yukito sit on a bench as autumn leaves fall around them. Yuki is reading; Touya has fallen asleep leaning against him. {Screams of joy and rapture.}

pg. 5:

At the festival at Tsukimine Shrine.

Sakura: Hello, Yukito-san!

He looks momentarily surprised, then smiles.

Yukito: Hello.

pg. 6

Sakura: There's lots of vendors and shops! (Apricot candy and cotton candy and stuff like that.) Oniichan, you're treating all of us! Me and Yukito-san and Tomoyo-chan and Shaoran-kun!

Touya: Why should I?

Sakura: If you don't do anything but sleep, it'll make Yukito-san worry!

Touya: Yeah, but why should I treat that brat?

Sakura: Because he takes care of me!

Touya and Shaoran give each other a Glare O' Death.

pg. 7

Sakura: (And Tomoyo-chan always takes care of me, too.)

Touya: (What kind of reason is that?)

Sakura takes Yukito's hand, smiling.

Sakura: Let's go!

pg. 8

Sakura: (First get some apricot candy, okay? After that, cotton candy and chocolate-covered bananas!)

Touya: (I really hate to agree--)

Tomoyo: *whipping out her video camera* Sakura-chan really does think of Tsukishiro-san as a family member now, doesn't she?

Shaoran: How can you tell?

Tomoyo: Right now, Sakura-chan is going "hanyaaan", but it's different from the way she went "hanyaaan" before.

Shaoran: (???) ("Hanyaaan"?)

Tomoyo: It's not a flustered kind of "hanyaaan." It's a gentler kind of "hanyaaan."

pg. 9

Shaoran: ...You really understand her, don't you?

Tomoyo: Because it's Sakura-chan.

pg. 10

Tomoyo: I'm glad that she's feeling better, though.

Shaoran: Yeah.

Tomoyo: ...You still haven't told her about your feelings, have you?

Shaoran: Because if I did... it would trouble her.

pg. 11

Shaoran: She's always liked that person... but that person has somebody else that he likes... In spite of that, she didn't cry, because she didn't want to bother him. Until she talked to me, she was holding it all in. She knows very well how it feels... not to be liked best by the person you like.

pg. 12

Shaoran: If I told her my own feelings, I'm sure she'd probably worry about hurting me, and it would bother her. That's why... I won't say anything.

Tomoyo: Ri-kun...

pg. 13

Sakura: *running up to the two of them* What's the matter? (The apricot candy stand is over this way!) Come on, Tomoyo-chan!

Tomoyo: Coming...

Sakura: YOU TOO, Shaoran-kun!

Shaoran: *smiling* Okay.

pg. 14

Touya and Yuki are watching the kids eat.

(Sakura: Isn't it yummy?
Tomoyo: It is.)

Touya: So why the heck do I have to pay for that brat?

Yukito: I wonder why you say such mean things to that boy.

Touya: *grumpy* 'Cuz I don't like him.

Yuki: But why?

[Flashback mode: Yuki remembers Touya picking up Shaoran by the scruff of his uniform, giving him a Glare O' Death.]

Yuki: (Because of the stuff he did after he transferred here?) (But he's good friends with Sakura-chan now...)

pg. 15

Touya: *grumpy* It's nothing to do with the past.

Yuki: (??) *clueless*

Touya: I don't like him because of what's going to happen from now on. Because very soon that kid's going to steal something I've always held dear.

pg. 16

Sakura: ONIICHAN!

Touya: *hair standing on end* WAAH! *sweatdrop* You scared me.

Sakura: Huh?

Yuki stares at Touya, startled.

Touya [to Sakura]: What is it?

Sakura: We're thirsty, so we want juice!

Touya: (Er... yes ma'am.)

Sakura: *holding out four fingers* For Yukito-san and Tomoyo-chan and Shaoran-kun and me!

Touya: (So why do I have to...)

pg. 17

Sakura: It's no good to drink while we're walking and spill, so we'll wait over that way by the pond.

She points.

Touya: *arms crossed* Are you ordering me to go and fetch?

Sakura: *arms crossed* YES!

Touya: (Jeez...)

Yukito [to Sakura]: He'll have trouble doing it by himself, so I'd better go with him.

Sakura: If that's true, then I'll go! (Please go ahead and wait with Tomoyo-chan and them by the pond!)

Yukito: No, it's okay.

pg. 18

Yukito: (What kind would you like?)

Sakura: (Well, um... orange for me, strawberry for Tomoyo-chan and lemon for Shaoran-kun.)

Yukito: Okay. By the pond, right?

Sakura: Yep!

The two of them make their way through the festival crowd.

Touya: *growling* (I should put something different in that brat's.)

He notices Yuki's silence and turns to him.

Touya: What's wrong?

pg. 19

Yukito: Just now, when Sakura-chan came up to you, you didn't know she was there, did you?

He stops walking and closes his eyes.

Yukito: Until now, you've always known right away if somebody was coming close to you, even if your eyes were closed.... It's because of giving me your power, isn't it?

pg. 20

He looks up at Touya, stricken.

Yukito: And you said you're always tired...

Touya: ...Yuki. Suppose you were carrying a bag lunch. Just when you were about to eat it, if I came up to you, so starving that I was gonna die, what would you do with it?

Yukito: I'd give it all to you!

Touya: That's just what I did.

pg. 21

He grabs Yuki's face and pulls on each side.

Touya: *smiling a little* If you keep on worrying about it like this, I'm gonna get mad.

Yuki: *smiling a little* ...Okay.

{HANYAAAAAAAN~! *^o^*}

pg. 22

On the way to the pond.

Tomoyo: (Are you sure it's really all right?)

Sakura: (Yeah! Today is Oniichan's treat!)

They reach the pond's edge.

Sakura: Ah! Here it is.

Tomoyo: (There aren't any fish, are there?)

Sakura: (The koi pond is over that way. *points*) This is for moon fortune-telling. Because it's a pond meant for predicting stuff from the reflection of the moon in the water, there aren't any living things in it.

pg. 23

Tomoyo: You know a lot about it, don't you?

Sakura: (It's 'cuz I asked Mizuki-sensei about it before. She said it's a good place to get away from the crowds when there are festivals and things at the temple.)

Tomoyo: Do you know how to make predictions?

Sakura: Yeah. I asked Mizuki-sensei about that, too.

Tomoyo: Are you going to try?

Sakura: It probably won't show anything to me, but... (Ummm, I guess...)

She puts her hands together and closes her eyes.

Sakura: If there's anything that I need to be careful of from now on, please tell me.

pg. 24

For an instant, a figure appears within the reflection of the crescent moon... one which Sakura has seen before in dreams... and which suspiciously resembles Eriol.

Sakura: EH?

An enormous gust of wind startles her.

Sakura [thinking]: I can sense... Clow-san!?

A stone bridge stretches across the middle of the pond. On one end of it is a large statue of a rearing horse. Suddenly, the horse's hooves separate from its pedestal, and it leaps into the air.

pg. 25

Sakura: WHAT!?

The animated horse statue bucks and rears.

pg. 26

Tomoyo: That's a bronze statue, isn't it!?

Sakura: How did it turn into this!?

The horse is charging towards the kids at an alarming pace.

Sakura: RE-LE-A-SE!!

pg. 27

Sakura: WOOD!!

The Card soars upward in the shape of a leafy nymph. It lashes out toward the horse and snarls its legs in vines.

pg. 28

The horse breaks free easily.

Sakura: AH!

pg. 29

It leaps up toward the nearby power lines and bites through the cord connecting to the lights strung around the temple area. Back among the crowds and vendors, Touya and Yuki stop and look upward, juice cups in hand, as the electricity goes out.

Random Person: Kyaa!

Random Person: A power outage!?

Random Person: It's daaaark!

pg. 30

Touya: This place's electrical connection is over by the pond!

Yukito: That's where Sakura-chan and the others are...!

Touya turns to a couple of younger girls in yukata and shoves the juice cups at them.

Touya: Here!

Yuki: *following suit* Please have these, too!

Girls in Yukata: HUH?!

The boys dash off.

Girls in Yukata: *flushed* (Kyaa! Kyaa!) Those two guys were soooo coooool!

pg. 31

Back by the pond.

Shaoran: *ofuda and sword in hand* RAITEI SHOURAI! {Kanji: lightning, god, invitation/cause}

Some sort of magical bolt strikes the horse statue's leg, with little effect.

pg. 32

Shaoran: It's no good just hitting part of it! We have to hit the whole thing!

Sakura: That's right! If you'll help me, maybe we can do it somehow!

pg. 33

Shaoran: Right.

The horse charges at them again.

Shaoran: I'm going!

Sakura: OKAY!

pg. 34

Shaoran: FUUKA SHOURAI!! {Kanji: wind, splendor, invitation/cause}

He creates a whirlwind which momentarily traps the horse.

Shaoran: NOW!

pg. 35

Sakura: THUNDER!

She releases the Card, which takes the form of a huge beast made of pure electricity.

pg. 36

Thunder fries the horse, which plummets into the pond, sizzling.

pg. 37

Sakura and Shaoran run and peer down into the water. The horse has sunk to the bottom.

Sakura: It's not moving, is it?

Shaoran: No.

pg. 38

Sakura: *massive sigh* Thank goodness...

She turns to Shaoran.

Sakura: It's because of you. Thank you! *suddenly running off* (Tomoyo-chaaaaaaan!)

Shaoran blushes furiously.

Sakura [to Tomoyo]: (You're not hurt?)

Tomoyo: *holding her videocam* (I'm fine.)

Touya and Yukito burst through the bushes.

Touya: Are you all right!?

Sakura: Yeah, it was nothing.

pg. 39

Touya: *sweatdrop* (Then... why are there fallen trees?)

Sakura, Tomoyo, and Shaoran have multiple sweatdrops.

Sakura: *frowning* (A... anyway, what did you do with our juice?)

Touya sweatdrops.

Touya: Anyway, it looks like the electricity's all gone out.

Yuki: The festival will have to end early.

Sakura: But... everyone's gone to so much trouble... OH!

pg. 40

Sakura: *dashing off* Wait for a minute, okay!

Touya: (Hey!) Hold on! *staring at the dust clouds* (Damn, she's quick.)

Sakura: *climbing into a grove of shrubs* (Nobody will see me here.) RE-LE-A-SE.

Glow appears.

pg. 41

Sakura: Glow!

The Card scatters thousands of floating magical lights around the temple grounds.

pg. 42

Random Person: What are they, do you think?

Random Person: Pretty--!

Random Person: They're not fireflies, are they?

Back by the pond, the others gaze up at the floating lights.

Yuki: They're beautiful.

Touya: *huffing* It's Sakura, isn't it. (Jeez, nothing but silliness.)

pg. 43

[A short distance away.]

Tomoyo: It's Sakura-chan, isn't it?

Shaoran: The "Glow" Card.

He reaches for one of the lights with a melancholy expression.

Tomoyo: Ri-kun. You're really, truly a kind person. Because of that, I understand that you don't want to cause Sakura-chan any pain.

pg. 44

Tomoyo: But Sakura-chan isn't the kind of person who holds on to sorrowful things for long.

Shaoran's eyes widen.

Tomoyo: Even if you made her aware of your feelings, I'm sure she'd accept them, and give you a Sakura-chan kind of answer.

pg. 45

Sakura smiles at Glow {who bears a suspicious resemblance to Tinkerbell. ^_^;}

Sakura: You were sealed at Tsukimine Shrine, weren't you? I was really happy then, so I hope everybody else will be happy when they see these lights, too.

pg. 46

Meanwhile, lurking in a nearby tree...

Nakuru: Eriolllll, is that it for today? Can I go see Touya-kun now?

Spinel: What did you come here for, anyway?

Nakuru: (Fu fu fu!) To play, of course!

Eriol: Go ahead.

Nakuru: YAAAAAAY!

pg. 47

Eriol: *gazing down at Sakura* ...Just a little longer, Sakura-san.
