Songlight's Ekele

This is Daissah and Iago. They are the guardians of Forests and Darkness. Daissah reminds me of myself, so I put her up as the guardian of my Biography Page. Heyla! I am Moonwind K'Vala. I used to live in the ekelewith Songlight. Unfortunately, that was because he's my brother. :krrrl, ha ha:That's my bondbird Flurr. She's a Red-Shouldered Hawk.

Songwind is just a scout, but I am a Mage-Scout, an Adept, in fact. Our parents were both mages, and they died during an attack on the Vale. My border-partner is Windstar, and he's also my lover. I'm seventeen, Songlight is twenty-five, and Windstar is nineteen.

I've been a mage since I was seven, but I've only been a scout since I was fourteen. I have mind-magic, and I also have Empathy. I was just assigned to my scouting duties when the raiders attacked, killing my parents.

I'm in Valdemar right now, training the Herald-Mages. Songlight stayed in K'Vala, but Windstar came with me. He is a Master-level mage, and so he helps train the Herald-Mages.

I used to think my brother drove me crazy, but I started this webpage so I wouldn't miss him so much. I stay in touch with Herald Jessa by having Flurr mindspeak her Companion, Ceylan. Flurr is extremely intelligent, so it's easy to know just what Jessa or Ceylan is saying. It's a really good way to keep in touch with my brother and learn what's going on in the Vale.

Right now I'm living in a miniature Vale that Firesong K'Treva built when he first came to Valdemar. It has a hotspring and an ekelewith two rooms. But sometimes I wish I could be Chosen, and live in the Collegium, or build a Gate to K'Vala and bring a couple of hertasithrough. I really miss having someone to help me clean and cook. I am a mortally bad housekeeper. And I can't build a Gate, because I don't know what the new Vale looks like. Oh well.

I've only been in Valdemar since the war with Hardorn ended. Before then, and before I began scouting, though, during my mage-training, I was so very carefree. Nothing was hard or unpleasent. But now, my life isn't as simple as it used to be. But there's at least one veryfamiliar thing in this unfamiliar land. Flurr. I've been bonded to her since I became a mage.

I spend my days teaching Master-level Herald-Mages with Windstar, and helping Elspeth and Darkwind hone their Adept skills. Darkwind and I have similar theories about magic, so we work well together. I can also call Elspeth alsh'sha. She's a fantastic friend...as long as you don't get on her bad side.

My life is very hard a lot of the time, like when I'm sitting in a council meeting for hours while they argue over the most trivial things, or when I used to run into herds of wyrsaand buktoout on the K'Vala border. But even though there are rotten times, I love my life, and Valdemar is starting to feel like a second home. But if you'll excuse me, there's a council meeting that I have to attend.
