Lynn Minmei is a 15 year old girl. Her parents got an restaurant in the city on Macross-Island. She came with Hikaru Ichijo onboard the SDF-1 Macross while her parents were in the shelters on the island. When Cpt. Gloval made the hyperspace jump the whole island was taken with the SDF-1. After the shelters were evacuated to the SDF-1 her parents rebuilt their restaurant on the Macross. After Minmei has won the Miss Macross contest she started a career as a singer. With her songs the SDF-1 demoralized the Zentraedi. Hikaru loves her but Minmei sees him nevertheless only as a big brother.
