As the series opens a group of power-suited bandits calling themselves Demon Seed have been terrorizing Tokyo and have stolen over a billion yen in valuables. The police are powerless to stop them and usually do more harm than good, causing great damage to the city in their botched attempts to arrest the members of Demon Seed.

At the office of the Special Operations Anti-Demon Seed Section the members of this government organization come up with a plan to defeat Demon Seed and secure their paychecks, their coverage by social security, and their two days off a week. The division's leader, Chief Hattori, introduces a plan (that he wrote while drunk) to hold an audition to find a super idol to beat Demon Seed. This idol was to wear a powered suit that was under development in secret (in some lab, by some professor).

Hattori, in a last ditch effort to save his job, gathers 28 candidates at random and holds a talent competition to see who will become Tokyo's defender against Demon Seed. After 27 freak show performances, Hattori is considering resigning before he is fired. Then a shy 8th grader named Namikaze Maron takes the stage. The Special Operations team watch in awe as the slight girl bends the steel mic stand around her finger as if it were a wire. She is instantly chosen as the new weapon against Demon Seed. Maron is immediately enroled in singing and dancing lessons and the idol of justice is born.

Meanwhile, in the conspicuous-looking Demon Mansion, Professor Demon and his followers are counting the loot from Demon Seed's latest raid. The Professor decides that their next job will be to plunder the Mu Dynasty art exhibit at a local museum. He telephones his plans to a local take-out who helpfully relay the information to the police.

The time has come to unveil Maron's powerd suit and after a spectacular entrance (he was only following the manga), Professor Shimokawabe introduces Maron to her new battle "armour". The stage is now set for a showdown between Maron and Demon Seed.

Chief Hattori decides to hold Maron's big debut and defend the Mu art exhibit. With the support of the Special Operations crew, Maron finds the courage to fight Demon Seed and makes short work of the powered-suited bandits. Her victory makes front page news but the Mu exhibit (and most of the surrounding street) were all but destoryed in the brawl. The episode ends with the Special Operations Anti-Demon Seed office swamped with calls complaining about the damage.

In this summary I have just covered the basics of the plot. Please seek out the episode for all the gags, puns, and the SpoVitam-C commercial.
