The beginning of the second volume of Assemble Insert finds the members of the Special Operations Anti-Demon Seed group more or less how they were at the beginning of the first volume. The defeated members of Demon Seed have gone into hiding for 3 months and the Special Operations group has come under criticism as a waste of tax dollars. Their raises have been postponed, thier budget cut, and their air conditioners turned off in the heart of summer. Chief Hattori hatches another desperate plan to improve their situation: The Maron Entertainment World Debut Project!

At Maron's fist TV appearance she is hyped as a rising star who has a shot at winning the prestigious Newcomer's Award for idol stars. Maron, however, botches her performance and is too nervous to sing. She backs away from the cameras and accidentally wanders onto the nearby set of a show starring Japan's most popular idol,Sonoba Kagiri. Maron nervously crushes her mic and apologizes wildly, bringing down Kagiri's elaborate set piece, a gold dragon. Seconds before it is going to crash into the stage Maron catches it with one hand, all in full view of the cameras. The TV crews and reporters go crazy and Maron is suddenly the focus of Japan's newest craze. Maron goes on to record 3 #1 singles in the coming months and is put in direct conflict with Sonoba Kagiri for the Newcomer's Award.

By now Maron is a full-time idol singer and the Special Operations office has been converted into a produciton company. The war against Demon Seed is all but over, much to the annoyance of Professor Shimokawabe, who longs to see Maron go into action in his powered suit once again. He pays a visit to Demon Seed (they are not hard to find) and delivers a gift of 4 pre-packaged powered suits. Demon Seed is back; they take over an office building and use its lights to post a bold challenge to the police, promising to raid the financial bureau's printing office the next evening (they also promise to postpone in case of rain). The time of the attack just happens to correspond to Maron's performance at the Newcomer's Award ceremony.

Hattori and the others don't want Maron to miss her big chance and pray for rain. Just when it looks like a storm over Tokyo, the sky clears and the Demon Seed raid goes ahead. The Special Operations group rush to confront Demon Seed to protect Maron's happiness when she realizes that she dosn't need to be an idol to be happy. Maron dashes off the stage during her performance and reaches the scene just in time to crush Demon Seed and protect her friends. The fight levels most of the neighbourhood and the equipment of several divisions of riot police. The episode ends with the gang playing a friendly game of Uno at the Special Operations office and the members of Demon Seed drowning their sorrows in Chinese noodles. Sonoba Kagiri won the Newcomer's Award but Maron and her friends are happy. The series ends with a group photo (spoiled by Professor Shimokawabe)and some words of wisdom.

Once again I have only covered the basics of the plot, please seek out the episode for all the gags, songs, and more SpoVitam-C.
