Went to Vegas for the EQ Fan Faire in April. We stayed at the Luxor, which is a GREAT place to stay, and would recommend anyone who goes there for the first time to stay there. The service was superb. Vegas is a drug - we want to go back again!

We are headed to Tennessee to celebrate Ziniz's (guildmate in CE) birthday. A few weeks after that, we will be visiting Kansas seeing friends and family. Hopefully we'll be able to meet up with another guildie who is between stations (Marines) while there. Yay, Cynamin and Balibom!

Yep, I STILL play Everquest (Erollisi Marr server)...

Szelaedan, my husband IRL and in-game, is a 65th season half-elf ranger. I am a wood elf storm warden of Tunare, druid of the 65th ring.

Both Szelaedan and I are a part of the guild, Crimson Eternity. We work hard. Play hard. Raid hard. Exp hard. Yessssss, it's a cult!! :P We have cleared the Plane of Time by our fourth visit, killing Quarm in one sitting (~6.5 hours) on our fifth visit.

At Szel's old house
Szel and I have taken a break from Star Wars: Galaxies. It's a very fascinating and FUN game! So many things to do! Szel moved back to playing EQ after going to the EQ Fan Faire. I haven't heard the end of it.

Here are a few touristy snapshots of me when I went on a shopping trip (07.19.2003) on Naboo.

An [SWG] day in the life of Team Taeranel:
Szel asked me today at 15:00 to check out a master tailor in Kaadara (Planet: Naboo) and gave me some credits while we were at our home city, Coronet (Planet: Corellia) to avoid the both of us wasting precious credits flying to Naboo. I landed at the spaceport in Theed (Naboo) and the first thing I did was look for a Mission Terminal to get a few credits, and see the sights and wildlife along the outskirts.

I wandered about in Theed in awe at the fancy buildings and then headed out to do my two destroy missions. On my way out into the lush green hills outside of Theed, I ran into Manti, a creature handler. His pet had taken a few hits, so I patched its wounds up. We struck up a conversation as I moved on to do my missions. He told me about a village he started up initially with relatives, which has now flourished to 20 or so people...and sent me a waypoint. Goody! Another place to visit!

On my way to my first mission, I came upon a very cute bungalow. So much more elaborate than the conventional style that Corellia has. Our houses are very modern looking; clinical and symmetric. The houses in Naboo appear to be made of clay-like substance. The interior is warm and luxurious with red carpeting, and curved rooms, and red velvet curtains.

I wandered into a small, medium, and large home. The large homes have verandas and outdoor walkways on the second floor. A veranda wraps around one room, while an outdoor walkway takes you between two other rooms. They are three stories. Pictures to come...

Szel hands me another waypoint to a town (Goon Town) near Theed that has a few tailors, droid engineers, weaponsmiths, creature pets, furniture upholsterers, horticulturalists, and architects. Another place to visit!

I went sightseeing. I visited Goon Town (run by Player Association: Goon). Bought my dress (above) and some furniture there. Still looking for the perfect table and chairs FOR THE RIGHT PRICE. I visited Manti's town, Midgar. It is a very beautiful town that overlooks a lake. Finished my 2 missions. I took a detour and visited Queen Amydala's Lake Retreat. It took a while to get there since I ran my way there instead of taking a shuttle, approximately 5 km away from Theed. The Retreat is a very peaceful place and worth going to to relax. I need to get some bait and fish there some time.

I peered over at the clock and it was 20:30 and I had yet to reach Kaadara!! *laugh*

Needless to say, Szel wasn't a happy camper. In the time it took for me to go sightseeing and my 2 missions, he had raised 25k credits in missions. I ran back to Theed and took a shuttle to Kaadara where Szel was waiting, foot tapping, at the shuttleport.

We went to a town along the outskirts where a lot of crafters opened their shops. I submitted a special order for an evening gown (a bustier+pleated dress), which combined costs as much to build my small house in Corellia! My slinky black dress was just shy of the cost of my house.

Szel took my hand and dragged me to Lok (planet), where we heard was a large game (creature) planet. We landed at twilight. The landing pad was thrown along the side of a steep hill with crates stacked on the side. A duststorm blew through as a hunting party came clambering in for more missions. A creature handler's pets, 30-40 feet tall, shook the port as they petulantly stomped about waiting for their master.

A hunting group was forming that traveled with us on the shuttle. Through the din of the pets, dry blowing wind, and the shuttle taking off, I heard mention of what they were hunting. Some Godzilla type scary creatures.

Traversing through the terrain was strenuous. I still haven't bought shoes to match my black dress, so I was running around barefoot following behind Szel in his suit of chitin in the sandy terrain. Fortunately, my skill in terrain navigation is all right so I was able to scale the treacherous cliffs with somewhat ease.

There were so many creatures that were blaringly "instant death" for the two of us. Dodging between the nests of these creatures to reach our mission, to rid the place of the lairs of langlatches, cute little rodents that pack a BIG WHOPPING KER-CHOMP!

I died once. Szel died twice. Rah! for cloning and equipment insurance. (Fortunately, this was my 2nd death so I am still under the newbie clause - no need to clone or insure my goods yet. One more death to go...) The buildings and streets here are desolate, showing wear from the sandstorms and highlights the harsh terrain of this planet. We went to the cantina, where I played my slitherhorn to ease us of our battle fatigue and other ailments.

I have to admit the challenge is worth it. I'd recommend Lok to anyone that has mastered some form of weaponskill. It's a great place, but leave the kids at home!
