A Word About Me

Yes indeed, that handsome man in both pictures is yours truly. On the seventeenth day of September, in the nineteen hundredth and seventy-ninth year of our lord, the world was first blessed with my presence. Ever since then, I've left my mark everywhere I go, wooing the multitudes, making a name for myself that will be remembered throughout the ages…Or maybe not.

Now that I've got the ego boost out of my system, here's a little bit more about myself. First off, I believe that a name would be in order. I am Ser Douglass Weeks, Knight of the Folding Table & Champion of Causes That Were Doing Perfectly Fine on Their Own. In addition, I am also an eccentric extraordinaire, a craftsman of the pen & creator of worlds, and an eternal worry to his poor beleaguered parents. To translate for those who minds operate a little closer to reality than mine does, I love to write, preferably fiction, and am just a wee tiny bit precocious.

I also love to absorb the creative works of others(i.e. read), and am a big fan of anime, manga, and comic books. Neon Genesis Evangelion is definitely my favorite anime series of all time(just in case you failed to notice all the Evangelion pictures adorning my pages). Ranma 1/2, X/1999, and Battle Angel Alita top my favored manga list. As for comic books(no, they're not for children and the illiterate), my tastes run to the more serious, mature works of fantasy, most notably The Books of Magic; a series that definitely has my vote for one of the greatest works of modern fiction.

My general plans for the future involve finishing college with a degree in history, and then going off to Japan to teach English. Failing that, my alternative plans for financial solvency include a career in writing and/or acting.
