Korean Recipe for Seafood Barbeque (Shrimp - See Woo Gui, Scallop 0 Garibi Gui, Squid - O Jing Aw Gui)


INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp mirin
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 450g shrimp (shelled & deveined - keep tail intact)
  • 450g scallops (laterally slice into 2 pieces)
  • 450g squid (score diagonal cuts to form criss cross pattern)

The above amount is good for one type seafood mariande. If you wish to marinade all three types at once, increase the amount to three times and adjust.

To prepare:

  • How to make Shrimp Barbeque: (See Woo Gui)In a bowl, mix the light soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, white pepper, orange and lemon juice
  • Place shrimp in a shallow dish
  • Pour mariande over and leave for 1 hour
  • Pre-heat the barbeque grill, barbeque shrimp till both side turn slightly brown
  • Do the same for the Scallop (Garibi Gui) and Squid (O Jing Aw Gui)
