For this EXPANSIVE web site we have MANY legalities we must address, fortuneatly after we do that we can have some fun!
As we ALL know, due to the increased amounts of corporate crackdowns on copyrighted images/sounds/ideas/creative property/ect., several key web pages across the board of varying fandoms have been forced to close via intense legal actions.
"How does that affect us?" <= You may ask?
Well, because of this, several web space providers, fearful of being sued along with anyone opening some sort of fandom site and using copyrighted images on their server, have denied their users the ability to use restricted copyrighted materials in their service agreements.
For this, we have but to say: THANK GOD FOR NINTENDO, THAT WHICH GAVE US THE CHUU!!!
For you see, in Nintendo of America's *INFINITE* wisdom, they NOT ONLY brought forth the great Chuu, but they HAVE NOT forbidden web masters to create fan pages based on pokémon or restricted the use of images/sounds/ect., and have asked in exchange that ONLY a small link be made to their main page which is VERY GENEROUS.
BUUUT,*some* providers, still fearing retribution and not trusting Nintendo, have kicked some people off of their services, citing infringment on copyrights... THIS RIGHT AFTER NINTENDO BASICALLY GAVE US ALL A *THUMBS UP* TO DO SO!!!
IN FACT, *WE* got booted from Xoom OURSELVES for doing stuff NINTENDO'S website said was cool. DOWN WITH XOOM! Well, if ANY other MP3's should offend, heck with it. We followed the rules and got taken so go ahead and sue. YOUR LAWYERS WILL COST MORE THAN WHAT YOU'LL GET FROM US!
For those of you whom haven't guessed, the Cult of Chuu as a collective whole is less than happy about this... the Pikachus Maximus less so than others.
So, to protect myself and the Chuu's site, I must write this BORING Disclaimer to show that my intentions are honorable and we don't lose our space.
So, to sum it up, we have used said materials in a given section, we have Nintendo's blessing to do so, and we HAVE NOT violated ANY international copyright laws, I'm not making a profit IN ANY WAY since I run NO ads save that which my web space provider requires, and again, I have a generally implied allowance from those whom own pokémon to do so.
