Mammoth
ivory comes from the extinct mammoth elephant. It is found mainly in Alaska
and Siberia. It looks like the ivory from the African elephant, but is
softer and more expensive. There are some superb mammoth ivory craftsmen
in China, both in the quality of craftsmanship
and in the designs.
