Yaten Kou has often been "affectionately" refered to as "the snobby one." He tosses out love letters from fans without reading them, gets slightly miffed at people who don't recognize him, and is sometimes just plain rude. But, believe it or not, he has a good reason for his apparent attitude problem. One thing Yaten hates more than anything else is insincerity. He can't believe that any of his fans love him, because they don't know who he really is. I think he would like for someone to get to know him, but because of his mission, that would be a waste of time. I believe he is dissapointed when people don't recognize him because he has put so much work into being an idol. And as for being just plain rude, well... that's Yaten. He has a very blunt way of getting his thoughts across. He won't lie to spare anyone's feelings. But, despite his brusque way of dealing with people, Yaten is very cuturally refined (What do you expect from someone whose favorite food is caviar?). He knew all about the expensive antiques Chibi Chibi was tossing around in episode 186. He also seems to enjoys the fine arts (His favorite subject is art and he enjoys photography). He doesn't like physical activity at all, and to top it all off... he's a cat person. Yaten Kou does have a potentially soft side, though. Luna was very pampered when she stayed with him. She even took baths with him! (Poor Minako was so... er... "jealous" that she got a nose bleed...) So, Yaten isn't really "snobby." At least not all the time. ^^;
