Namorita

Meet Namorita (Nita) Prentiss, or, as she was calling herself lately, Kymaera. Here's the basic info you need to know...Nita is the cousin of Namor, the Sub-Mariner. She was a founding member of the New Warriors. There has been sexual tension between her and fellow founding member, Nova since they met. During a time of extreme emotional stress (she was feeling responsible for the kidnapping of several of her teammates family members, and she felt she was an all-around crappy leader--which wasn't really true!), she admitted her true feelings to Nova in the form of a kiss. But, alas, nothing can ever be that perfect. She leaves Nova, and the team, to sort out her mind. Searching for her cousin, Namor, Nita finds out she's forbidden to enter Atlantis...her underwater hometown. Why, you ask? Well, turns out Nita was a clone of her mother, Namora. All of these stressful issues, along with her unstable clone DNA, caused Nita to have a siesure. She is transformed by her unstable DNA into the form of her old ancestors. Say goodbye to regular looking Nita. Say hello to blue skinned, black eyes no pupils, webbed handed, webbed footed, spikey-legged Kymaera! She wasn't THAT bad, but in my PERSONAL opinion, I liked the original Nita just a little better. Anyway, she is reunited with Rich aka Nova, and everything is just super. Well, there was some other stuff about her being kidnapped and programmed to be a killer and all, but that's not important. What is important is that Rich is no longer the man in her life. He abandoned her, and left the door open for Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch!
