(Ai-chan)
Above you see the grand and glorius Ai-chan. Yes she looks like Ryouko, and if you read on you'll find out why. The campaign is run by a friend of mine and the universe is Gundam. She is probably my favorite character out of all. When I first started rolling up her stats, I knew I wanted her to look and act like Ryouko from Tenchi Muyo. The attitude at first was moody, rash , and a pinch of protectiveness. She became somewhat of a "big sister" to Sakova Maria in the first campaign(first campaign took place during Z Gundam).This protectiveness continued until after the Gripps War was over and they went their seperate ways. It wasn't until a couple of years later before the two met again, and their "sister" relationship started again(second campaign in 0091, alternate universe). Once again Ai took over as "protector" over Sakova, but not as much as originally. This was enough to bring her personality back to what it was originally. In the intervening years, she had become anti-social and somewhat violent. Having Sakova around brought her back to the more approachable side of life and somewhat respectable in the eyes of others.
Now her skills were also made out to be similar to Ryouko's fighting abilities. Dodge & Escape was set fairly high and the Athletics skill got a few points also. The primary fighting stat was blade, with a couple points in handgun and Rifle. Mekton Zeta does not have any skills that could simulate Ryouko's powers like flying, phase, or energy blasts(course Gundam doesn't either), so I tried to simulate them, the best I could. Her skills of Stealth, Shadowing, and Grooming due make it easier for her to disappear in a populated area. Flying was not possible so she has a high Reflex stat and a decent MA. Ai differs from Ryouko on another point in the respect that Ryouko was a pirate, and Ai makes a much better spy.
In her mech, Ai takes on amuch more serious position on most things. She
doesn't joke or chat much on the intercom. She tries to do what is expected of
her and yet stay alive. She thinks of herself as a normal officer and does
enough to get by in life. She is not an over achiever and trying to make
everybody live in a better and more perfect world. She does however expect to be
rewarded for her work every now and then. She spent a total of five years in the
EFM, one year with the Titans, and a year & a half with the AEUG, flying mobile
suits and gaining experience. Even withthe seven and a half years of her flying,
she has a rank of lieutenant(jg) only. Her dissatisfaction with the EFM's failure
to promote her to a full grade lieutenant, and the denial of her transfer to the
new GM-III squadrons was her main reason for leaving the EFM in early 0091. She
still harbors bad feelings towards the EFM even now, even though she is piloting
for them on their new super-battleship which is taking on Jion(Whitbase, neh?).
She is somewhat sympathetic towards the Jion cause, but she does not exactly
approve of their methods for handling things. She will never forgive Axis for
their double-crossing at Side 3, Colony 1(first campaign).
