Tia dreams of Dark Schneider coming to her in her sleep, showing her the head of her father lying on the ground. With a start, she wakes up to find Luche sleeping beside her. She is first irritated but then smiles to herself . . .

Bastard is a story set in the post-cataclysmic future, after an evil diety has wrecked havoc on civilization. Society (what remains) has reverted to medieval-like kingdoms and fortresses, and magic is now embraced as a tool of war. Of course, this is an invitation for unnatural creatures to appear and prey on the populous. . . .

What better way to make a medieval story interesting than to include an all powerful mage? Dark Schneider, the main character to Bastard, is unlike the dark, brooding, silent, evil wizard genre which exists in most D&D like atmospheres. Unconventionally, this women-crazed, insult-flinging magic-user has long white hair and a tendency to lose his clothes. Having been confined in the body of a 14 year old boy complicates things further. He now has a somewhat complacent side, a crush on a 14 year old girl, and a mind set on killing the man who confined him, who of course just happens to be the girl's father.

Jump Comics dropped the now 18 book manga by Hagiwara and STUDIO Loud in School . . . however, I have confirmed that Bastard is back, being published once again by Shonen Jump Comics . . . monthly! In the words of my informer, a Shonen Jump Comics subscriber, "now D.S. is back on earth and fighting against demons who are trying to destroy the Earth (he wants to do it . . . )".

And, it had to happen sooner or later. A book 19 spoiler! Take a look at this email I received containing a synopsis of the latest episode!

This page was featured on TV last year!   It looks like Bastard!! is finally starting to get some exposure . .

If you would like an idea of what the first OAV is about, the story of Dark Schneider's return, aptly named Dark Schneider's Return, is taken directly from the anime, NOT the manga.

The Bastard Image Archive will probably never get updated. This has various images which are for the most part different then what other pages have. These are mostly original to this page. The first 4 pages have character descriptions along with a small collage of each character. At the end are some Bastard cells.

Interested in Emulation? I have several anime roms available for download. Included: the Bastard!! Super Famicom game, available only in Japan! *update: Bastard.smc back online!*

Here are some screen shots and info on the Japanese Bastard!! game for Playstation. This also contains a FAQ outlining methods for running Japanese games on your American Playstation.

I thought I might as well make available the original Bastard anime translation scripts. These are the exact wording and timing used in the subtitled Bastard OAVs.

I keep getting requests for info on where a copy of the Bastard fan-sub can be purchased. Please, don't email me this question, because I have no idea.  Fan-subs are available, but difficult to find. Try your local anime club or Chinatown. DO NOT waste your money on the Pioneer dubbed version. I have not seen the Pioneer subtitled version so I can't offer my opinion of it.

This is it, the Bastard links section, every single Bastard page I have ever found or been notified of. If you have links or comments concerning this page or anything, feel free tome. However, this is not a general link page, only links related to Bastard will be added.
