�@Emulators are non-commercial programs which can run and play games designed for platforms other than a PC (ie - Super Nintendo). These games, called ROMs (read only memory), are "dumped" from original cartridges (such as super nes games) into computer files which are compatible with the corresponding emulators.

�@The programmers who make these miracles happen are generally gifted hackers who have a love for the pre-32 and 64-bit video game era. Super Nintendo emulators do not make any money, and are purely for nostalgia purposes (as well as a fun programming project, if you have the documents and talent).

�@Is the dumping and trading of pirated roms illegal? Sure. But the games you are interested in playing, being import and not-for-sale in North America don't count right?

�@ I was interested in emulation for a while because of the programming aspect as well as the opportunity to play Japanese games, and here are a few roms I uploaded over the summer.

�@There are many emulators available, but the only one worth downloading is Snes9x. It is quite fast and has almost perfect sound quality. Emulators are available for almost every system in existance, and they are now even developing PSX emulators. All emulators programs can be downloaded from Zophar's Domain.
 

Here are several anime-related roms for you to download. If you want to know how to get them to work, read the text files that accompany all emulator zip packages.

Bastard!! - Extremely rare. I haven't found this one on any other (existing) page. A cool fighting game in a 3-D environment with loud metal background music. Choose from DS, Arshes Nei, Gara, Di-Amon, Kall Su, and Abigail. Nice cinema. A must have for any Bastard fan.

Ranma Super Hard Battle - The last and best Ranma 1/2 fighting game released for Super Famicom. No terrible dubbing here . . . Shishihoukoden!!

Ranma Puzzle Fighter - An excellent Puzzle Fighter 2 clone featuring the Ranma characters and special techniques.

Ranma Akane-dan Teki Hihou - A cool Ranma RPG. As with all of these games, it is in Japanese.

Dragon Ball Z Fighting Story 3 - The famous "split screen" Dragon Ball Z fighting action made this game popular in Japan. Character voices are done by the original anime voice actors . . . Trunks and Goten rule!

Panic in Naka-Yoshi World - Cutesy anime game with characters from the Naka-Yoshi manga.

Sailor Moon S - Another Tetris-type anime game featuring Sailor Moon characters.

Ghost Sweeper Mikami - Cool anime based side scroller. Play as a young girl with magical powers and a sword who goes through haunted houses killing spirits.

Record of Lodoss - A very long rpg following the 6 OAV anime.
