HUMAN SINGING IS NOT SO MUCH A BIOLOGICAL PHENOMENON. UNDER THE ONSET OF A PHYSICAL SOUND THERE IS A INTELLECTUAL VIBRATION, THAT IS,  A REFLEXION OF SPIRITUAL VIBRATIONS.

THE TECHNICAL VOICE, BORN FROM ANALISIS OF A PROCESS BASED ON RATIONAL NATURE, FORMS THE VOCAL INSTRUMENT.

Bel Canto Italia/Opera Italia offers a new program for voice students. Past experience has showed the need to concentrate efforts on Vocal Technique. Music and Repertoire, rather than share emphasis and energy on academics that complement the intellectual formation of an opera singer. Academic formation, although very important, can be pursued at different private and official institutions while acquiring vocal training at BCI/OI. Upon request, students can be recommended and referred to different institutions in order to complement their studies while in Florence. The program aim is directed to the formation of the student
as a professional opera singer. The selected applicants will commence their studies at an introductory phase in which they will learn the basic concepts of the Italian Vocal Method, while physically adapting their instruments for the studies to follow.
The duration of this phase is entirely up to the student instrument's adaptation, as well as the dedication and concentration required to complete this phase. Gradually the student will appreciate the advantages of the Italian Vocal Method. Through this appreciation and learning process, the student will acquire the most important tool that any voice student can obtain during the Technical  stage of their studies,
the condition that will allow the students to recognize and control their own instrument. From this stage onwards, the student will follow a methodical and systematic training in order to reach the level where the acquired skills and knowledge can be applied to music. Therefore, the purpose is to provide the student with a solid technique while at the same time developing the student's dramatic instinct in order to reach full expression and control of their acting through the voice.
