Julie asked Tom to take back GMD accounting for a few months. Randy has agreed to pick up the checkbook for now and Tom will handle the accounting.

Update on current stocks

ADCT: Record 1Q earnings but posting a loss due to a charge. Recently rated as a strong buy.

BMCS: Recently downgraded

EMS: WSJ article quoting company as expecting higher sales than originally expected

HD: Expecting 20-25% growth in '99. 36% 4Q earnings increase. 27% sales increase.

NKE: Artilce in Smart Money predicting improved earnings with eventual Asian recovery, improving US market, new product line (Tuned air), and cost reductions.

Old Business

- Investor's fair report from Randy.

- NAIC training class report from Randy.

New Business

- Tom reviewed the results of his data base and screening software. Using a quality screen followed by a value screen Tom produced an interesting list of 40 companies that meet a NAIC screen. A potential tool for generating a new watch list and new companies to research.

- The group edited the current watch list. Tom has the updated list.

- Erik reviewed the following companies analyzed by himself and Sheri: Global Industries, Noble Drilling, Varco International

- Randy reviewed IDX corp.

- Al reviewed Dionex Corp.

- A motion was made to sell Cabletron and add the proceeds to approximately $700 and purchase shares of IDX
