ALWAYS REMEMBER TO FOLLOW LOCAL PROTOCOLS BEFORE
ADMINISTERING ANYTHING TO YOUR PATIENT!!! CYA is what I like to tell
my people....(cover your ass) When in doubt...don't do it. If you're
not sure if the meds belong to this patient, or if the expiration
date is unclear, or if you're not sure when the last dose was taken.
ALS should already be enroute and if they aren't ...MOVE IT. Follow
the standard of care that you've been trained as an EMT to do. This
is just my opinion, but meds seem to complicate the matter with
EMTs. I feel comfortable doing it, but there are some that
don't.
