HOMEWARD BOUND

Home is where the heart is

And mine is far away

Home is not where I am right now,

But where I'll be someday

I will not be home until I see

Jesus' wondrous face

And my heart will not be happy

Until my feet step into that place

Man often wonders why

I want no worldly things

Simply put, I lay my treasures

In a place that cannot be seen

My eyes are lifted towards heaven;

As a bride I watch and wait,

For when my bridegroom

Leads me through the heavenly gate

When that day arrives,

And I leave this world below

I will walk up golden streets

Towards my heavenly home

My mansion is now waiting

For me to come and stay

And worship my King, Jesus

Day after glorious day

This is why I'm always happy:

I look foward to that day

When I can join my heart

In that land so far away
