What happened? suddenly I was in my forties!

All the times I had thought "life would be easier when my children were older and I was a little wiser". The problems that had plagued my past were behind me and I was on my way - or so I thought. No one prepared me for 'the forties'.

Suddenly I was the older aunty with many of my dear relatives going one by one, my fertile years were a pleasant memory, and depression had become entrenched in my very being. I could not go back and the future seemed daunting. All the goals and dreams unclaimed, gathering dust, like the unwritten book in my mind.

I'm not sure where I go from here, nor where this journey will end. My path I've decided will be an enlightening one, full of discovery and change. I will try not to be frightened, nor will I just sit back for the ride. Today will begin who I am and I hope to gather new experiences and friends along the way. I hope that you will be there with me, that somehow our crossing of paths will have meaning. I will continue to search for the answers and hopefully continue to grow.
