Everybody Needs to Laugh

As you all know, I don't like rollercoaster's. So this week and last week was not really my ideal of what life should be about. Good thing is that I have a humour gene, which somehow found its way into my genetic makeup on conception (secretly of course). This gene has come in handy in my life, many a time. It has been sorely tested of late, but genetics seem to hold greater sway then any other factors imaginable. Thank-you genes!

So despite having a tough couple of weeks, I have found out many truths about myself. Still wading through a back log of truths all waiting to be found out, good with bad. Actually, I didn't let my week get rotten. I did alot. Finding Sooshie. Spent time with family and friends. Job interview yesterday. Extra long gym workout.

"Dear children, do not be afraid of life. How good is life once you have done something good, once you have been true to the truth within you." - Aliosha, The Brothers Karamazov Feodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky.

The job interview went very well, but won't find out whether I get position till end of week ,I believe. My sister went for job interview today. She got the job. Congratulations Sis! :)
Spent Monday morning with sis-in-law and nephew. It was great being with them both, for despite not being ready for a child at this stage, it's great to be able to enjoy the company of children/babies and feeling comfortable in their presence. My sis-in-law is a great mum! Hat's off to her!
Then I had lunch at the beach with my mother. It's our favourite cafe house, that sits right on the beach and sometimes (whether permitting) we actually sit outside and eat. The ocean has always made me feel calm and soothed. Both of us love the water. Of course we are both water signs of the zodiac, she - Aquarius and I - Cancerian. It was good to spend quality time with my mother, I plan to do it more often. Makes us both feel good.

Sunday evening, I had dinner with 5 of my friends at a resturant close to where my sister lives, (so before dinner I dropped in to visit my sis and bro-in-law, neices and nephew). The company was fabulous. It was great for us to get together and chat about everything under the sun. I gave my email address to one of my friends, who then asked me if I wanted to be on a joke list. I answered no, because I am already on two, however this afternoon, there was a joke in my email..guess who? Oh well..I can always delete it. No big deal, but it was interesting how a 'no' became a 'yes'. On the side, I must say the meal I ate at the resturant was tasty, but very expensive for what it was (Gnocci in tomato and basil sauce).
I took the twins (my friends) home and came inside to see their parents (hadn't seen them in ages) and there was a spider crawling between my breast, but I couldn't see it. My friend's father (who was holding remote control) said to me "Stay still", I froze as I watched him approach my breasts with the remote control. Of course it was to flick off the spider, but lordi..I thought it odd! (well I am having a good ole chuckle as I retell this).

I just got back from Jay's house. Just chatting to them and having good ole time. Yabba- dabba-do! (hmmm- just noticed I'm in a silly mood) I think it is past my bedtime. The weather changing so quickly, cold to hot, wet to dry, must be confusing me, for of late, I have been feeling tired of an evening.

I picked up this fantastic book. Really enjoying it. Often I find it hard to put down a book once I start reading. I say to myself, 'I will only read to chapter 3' but end up reading to chapter 9! Then I look at the time, feel my eyelids drooping and then I look to see if I remember passing the demarkation for the chapters (i.e. did I see this page with the heading CHAPTER 5?) in exhaustion. This book is about a 200 year old dynasty of great men and how the family's legacy and existance is threatened by the soul heir to this family. Only early days in the book yet, but I see a twist in the plot coming :)!

Starting to think about X-mas being in two weeks today! How time just passes. I already hear all the x-mas songs on call waiting and in the shopping centers. I like the jazzed up versions, I must admitt. It's really enjoyable to see the x-mas lights on the trees light up. Great time of the year! Even that passes to quickly though.

Well its almost midnight and my slipper has fallen off. Just quickly tell you I was titled 'Queen' of the masquerade ball (I guessed the most number of alias names). Ah! The little games we play!
I bid you goodnight...till later...

Soosh :)
