THE MAN

I watch
-- careful you don't see me.
Training my perifpheral vision.

Every move
-- recorded for eternity.
If I could only link my brain to a VCR.

The laugh
-- contagious like laughing gas in the wind.
I breath deep hoping to be infected.

A smile
-- which makes every star in the midnight sky go nova.
For you are the sun of my galaxy.

Eyes
-- dancing like brown fireflies over a clear lake.
I want to put them in a jar and set them by my bed at night.

Two hands
-- Gentle and graceful as a Tai Chi instructor.
They hold my heart and don't even know it.

The man
-- stands before me naked and fully clothed.
I like what I see and yet I strain to see more ...
