A Woman's Life in Recovery

Health Links

I firmly believe that physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health are interwoven.  One cannot achieve physical health without becoming spiritually and emotionally healthy and vice-versa.  Just take a look at all the stress related illnesses...it makes sense when one questions why some people develop cancer, heart disease or even addiction, while others with the same genetic predisposition, environmental factors, etc. remain perfectly healthy.
Women's physiology causes them to develop alcohol related illnesses at a much faster rate than men.  The progression of the disease is also more rapid in women.  I feel it is of the utmost importance to educate women  about the effects of alcohol on health so they can make informed decisions.
I have included links on mental health, alternative health care, women's health care, and how drugs and alcohol affect pregnancy. Of course, I will add more links as I come across them.
