More Mammograms (7/6/99): There was a spot on the right mammogram that needed a second look. The nurse was kind enough to show me that it did not show on both views. I got a call a few days later saying that all was fine.

Too Hot For a Wig (7/14/99):
Jenny Wolf and I made our annual trip to Shipshewanna, Indiana in search of discount Mary Kay and Amish food. Although the day was only an 80 degree day, the Indiana sun caused a steady stream of sweat to run off my head under the wig. Once in the car, I took off the wig and made my first public appearance wigless at Das Dutchman Essenhaus. It was a good place to expose my 1/2" of hair, being that Jenny was the only person that knew me there, and being the wonderful friend she is, she told me that I looked great.

With my new found confidence in going wigless, I went to more and more places wigless, including the Venetian Festival and the Rebecca St James concert on Sunday morning, a Cubs game, and a second trip to Shipshewanna to celebrate Mom and Dads birthdays(yes they share a birthday). In the 90 degree plus heat wigless felt great!!!!!!!

Wigless 24x7(7/23/99):
Call me vain, but I still did not have the courage to show up to work without my wig. On this day, I came home from work, changed into shorts, took off my wig and headed out to pick up some pop at the store. Murphy's small town law kicked in and I ran into a co-worker. He had just seen me in my wig an hour before, and made the comment, "I wish I could do that!" Having been 'caught' I decided to permantly hang my wig on its stand. Thank you friend you served me well.

Shampoo!(7/28/99):
After 4 months of washing my bare head with shower gel or soap, I used real shampoo on my 'hair', i was also able to use a brush to guide my wayward hairs. it sounds silly but it was such a good feeling!!!!!!!
