- The Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association HBIGDA is "a professional organization devoted to the understanding and treatment of gender identity disorders". Roughly 300 members worldwide hail from psychiatry, endocrinology, surgery, psychology, sociology, and counselling. Establishes Standards of Care for the treatment of "gender identity disorders".

- ISNA (Intersex Society of North America). The leading resource for intersexed persons, ISNA is a peer support, education, and advocacy group founded and operated by and for intersexuals: individuals born with anatomy or physiology which differs from cultural ideals of male and female.
- Lambda Letters Project
- LGBT Community Services CenterThe Center has been the heart of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities in New York City since 1983. Each week, 5000 people come to the center to participate in more than 300 programs including mental health counseling, HIV prevention, youth support, AIDS services, public policy, and cultural programs.

- C.H.I.C. - Crossdressers Heterosexual Intersocial Club (Los Angeles, CA)
- CompassNew England's largest FTM support group
- Connecticut Outreach Society Open to all transgendered individuals, spouses, and significant others of legal age, as well as to interested medical and mental health professionals, regardless of gender, race, creed, or sexual orientation.
- ConnecticuTView A Renaissance affiliate OPEN support group.
They welcome persons of every sex, gender, race, and creed, and there is no interview or referral requirement.
Their membership (over 100) is primarily from Connecticut, but also includes people from NY/NJ/RI/MA/NH/OH/PA/FLA.

- Femme Fever Professional Counseling for you, couples, or significant other. They truly care -- counseling is done at Karen's home, and is very personal. Support Group/Parties every month (also at home: private and safe). This is a great venue to meet others and BE Yourself! The meets are fun, and attendance is approximately 35 at each! Its great to chat, eat and just ENJOY your femme self! If you aren't ready to come out dressed, staying "en drab" is certainly permitted! Friends are important! If you want to dress and look your best, pre-party makeovers at a reduced fee are performed. The group is friendly and very warm! FemmeFever is now the largest TG Organization in the NY-NJ-CT tri state area, come see why!
