The Arenal volcano is one of the most active volcanos in the americas.  On the way to the volcano, you will tour the  famous oxcart factories of Sarchi, and then on to Zarcero where you will be served an authentic Costa Rican meal.  Once in Arenal, from the observation point, you will feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava, a natural display of fireworks.  The next stop is Tabacon hot springs, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool air while admiring the incredible sky above the volcano.  At a convenient time, you will be treated to a splendid dinner.

This adventure begins when you enter this 454-hectare site.  After crossing a hanging bridge and talking a short walk to the visitors center, where groups receive an introduction to the canopy, a guide leads you on a 45-minute trail walk.  The guides explain the rain forest from the ground perspective, in preparation for the tram ride.  The 2,600 meter tram ride take you through the lower and intermediate levels of the forest on the way out, and on the return trip, through the upper levels of the canopy, with a maximum altitude of 35 mtrs.  After returning to the boarding station, you may enter the restaurant, or explore another trail.
