We saw lots of slides on this ride. Heavy rains in April (3 weeks of steady rain) soaked the ground and caused the slides.
On Avenue of the Giants we were passed by a long string of antique racing cars.
Highway 101 South of Garberville. Traffic was light in May.
Studying wildflowers S of Eureka. We saw many varieties of wild Iris and other wildflowers.
redwood trail near Rockport. Averaging only 35 miles a day, we had plenty of time for gazing at the scenery, taking walks, visiting museums etc.

Flowers at Laguna Point. Laguna Point has a wonderful trail with views of wave splashed rocks, sea birds, sea palms, Seals and wild flowers. Well worth the time at MacKerricher State Park.
