Background: I am a graduate of Algonquin College, in Ottawa, Ontario, in their Science Photographic Technician program. Although not currently earning a living from this field ( I am presently working for Case Credit as a finance representative), I continue to enjoy the pursuit of capturing the beauty of the outdoors on film. Several years back I had the luck of travelling across Canada for almost a year doing stock nature photography. In the past I have also supplied Algonquin Provincial Park, in Ontario, with slides from the park for use in their evening slide show presentations. You should be able to find a postcard of a Moose I took in the Park's museum. Purchasing any of their products helps support "The Friends of Algonquin Park".
The past 5 years I have built my own house from the ground up, including clearing of some of the forest. It is situated in the picturesque Gatineau Hills north of Ottawa. The house is a 2 storey A-Frame cedar sided. I built all the interior cabinets from cherry in my workshop located on the property.
I have had the pleasure of constructing 3 cedarstrip
canoes, using epoxy rather than fiberglass resin. Eventually I will
produce these commercially (whenever, I can run out of chores and other
projects). My workshop is a separate building about 550sq.ft. in size,
insulated and fairly well equipped. This years projects include: finishing
a 20' diameter Gazebo, finishing a 16'x16' lumber shed and building a 10,000
sq.ft. dog yard enclosure with a kennel building.
