Chapter Thirteen: Love Letters

I smiled softly to myself as the bus plodded along the road, in front of me sat stacks of mailbags, I hadn't opened them yet, I think maybe I just wanted to look at them. There were three bags all together, with god knows how many letters. Everyone was quick to say that they had in all honesty never seen someone "blow up" as quickly and as hugely as I had.

Alleah was sulking around on AJ's bus, so thankfully I didn't have to deal with her and I could be in my own little world. I don't know how AJ put up with her, maybe he was half deaf so he didn't have to hear her annoying voice, and maybe he could tune himself out, either way I was thankful she was away from me.

I opened the first back and starred in wonderment at the letters packed in there. There were big ones, a bright yellow one, a pink on covered in glitter, and thousands of ones that seemed to blend into one another. - I couldn't help but smile.

I pulled out a handful and laid them onto the desk. I was truly determined to read each and every one of those letters, even if it took me an eternity to do it. I think maybe I have seen that Eminen video about the obsessed fan too many times, and I definitely feel the need to reply to everyone personally.

I picked out a big blue envelope first with my name perfectly written across it in bubble gold writing, it was cute, and covered in pictures of me (that was a little weird). I peeled open the back and began to read.

~ AT THE SAME TIME ~
Belle smiled as she looked across the bus at Nick who was seriously engrossed in the Playstation game. She looked over to Brian, who they'd asked to spend the day with them, Belle really needed to talk to him. She stood up and walked across the room, he was reading some magazine but put it down on his lap when she sat beside him. He smiled sweetly at her, his attention all hers.
"Could we talk? In private?" Belle questioned, nodding towards the kitchen area
"Sure" Brian grinned as he stood and followed her through the sliding door

Belle closed the door behind him as he wandered over to the fridge. She smiled brightly as she hugged him tightly. He chuckled slightly as he pulled a soda from the fridge.
"Is there a reason you just hugged me?" he laughed
"I'm happy for you, I really am" Belle smiled
Brian looked at her quizzically, "Why?"
She leaned in and hugged him again and whispered "I know"
As she pulled away a look of horror came across Brian's face, what exactly did she know?
"Uh, what are you talking about?" he muttered opening the can nonchalantly
"About you and Riyan"
Brian gulped down a mouthful and practically choked as his mouth flew open.
"I know how close you and her are" she added
"How, how do you know that?" Brian coughed, trying to gather his breath
"Don't be mad with her Brian, but she told me" Belle smiled
Brian looked sheepishly down at the ground.
"And don't worry" she spoke touching his shoulder "I'm not going to tell anyone"
"I know its stupid, I shouldn't have got involved with her but -"
"Brian, didn't you hear me, I'm happy for you" Belle snickered
"You don't think its wrong?"
"No, I don't. If you really care for her, and she really cares for you, age doesn't matter. And I know she really cares about you Brian, as I'm sure you care for her"
"I do Belle" he smiled softly
"Then just promise me you'll be careful, I don't want either of you to be hurt but I know the media will eat this up" she smiled
"Promise" Brian grinned
She smiled as she turned for the door.
"Belle - " Brian called
"You don't even have to ask, I wont tell anyone" she smiled "Not even Nick" she added, practically reading his mind

~ 2 HOURS LATER ~
My hand ached worse than all those autograph signings. I had written back to about 100 people, but I was only half way through the first bag. I had since switched to my laptop, I was hoping to handwrite them all, but my hand was killing me, and for some of the repetitive letters I had also decided to use a simple default letter, writing the same thing over and over was getting to me.

There were some really amazing letters talking about how people felt I had really touched their life, how they admired me. There were heaps of letters from Mexico, talking about how good it was to see a "real" girl or "one of them" in the limelight, many of them casting me as Mexico's ambassador to the world - I wasn't sure I was that, I could hardly speak Spanish and I wasn't keen on spicy food, but never the less, I was flattered.

I picked up another letter, this one was in a plain envelope, a handwritten address was written on the front, nothing very special, nothing that took my attention, I thought about casting it to the side, but whoever this person was, they had put me on a special little pedestal and the least I could do was read their letter.

I opened it and pulled out a sweet smelling letter. It was small paper with a rose in the background, I'd seen many letters on nice writing paper, but this one was really very beautiful, not to mention it had a rose like aroma.

Dear Riyan

I read somewhere that your favorite flower is the red rose, thus the paper and the smell.

My name is Karl, I'm 19, and living in the state of California. I've seen you a few times on the TV, and I even went to the Boy band concert to see you live, you were truly beautiful, you took my breath away. As I sit here writing this I can almost see you, I know that we are meant to be because I dream about you most nights and I know that we will be together.

I love you so much, you are extremely beautiful, and I will follow you to the ends of the earth to be with you, I want to make you happy, I want to kiss you and touch you, and I want to make love to you all night, and feel your breath over my body, and to wake up beside you, to touch you skin and caress your body.

We cant fight what is meant to be, I love you, we will be together I know that.

Karl

I smiled as I folded the letter up beside me, I wasn't shock, that was about the 20th love letter - I'd also had two marriage proposals. My reply would be the same as the others.

Dear Karl

Thank you so much for your letter, I do love roses, my favorite of which been red. You pay a lot of attention, that really is very sweet of you.

That was a beautiful letter you wrote to me, and I'm happy that you enjoy my music, as much as I enjoy performing it. I'm flattered you think about me like that, and I hope maybe one day we can meet at a signing or something.

Thank you for taking time out of you day to write to me, it means a lot to have fans as sweet as you.

Take care, your friend.

Riyan

I wrote it pretty much exactly how my publicist told me to, she instructed me,
1. Not to put the person or what they think down
2. Always say thank you
3. Thank them on a nice letter, even if it wasn't
4. Don't reply to any "love" comments or rude remarks they make, just ignore them

So that was it, that was my letter. I printed it out and signed the bottom, put it in an envelope and handwrote the address, I knew I could get other people to do that all for me, but right now I was content to do it myself.
