Chapter Two: Eyes of Death Black
Catherine squinted in the sunlight as she hailed a cab in the sunny Hollywood street. Her father had passed away a few months ago, leaving his only daughter a nice sum of money and some run down cabin in the back sticks of Texas. She showed the typical form of grief, shock, disbelief and tears, but she felt none of them. She cared very little for her father, he was an old man that cheated on her mother and spent more time at the office that at home, thankfully the old bugger left her with something.
The bright yellow paint of the cab glistened in the burning sun as it stopped beside Catherine, she opened the door, threw her small suitcase into the back and hopped in.
“Airport” she announced, without a hint of kindness in her cold voice

“Are you sure we’re doing the right thing?” Brian sighed as Faith casually fluffed his hair
She looked up at him and smiled.
“We have nothing to hide Brian, we’re happy and I don’t think we should try to hide that” she explained, her eyes reaming directly onto his.
“Alright then. It’s time to tell the world” Brian grinned as he kissed her cheek softly his hand grazing his stomach.
“Time to let the world know about you” Brian whispered his eyes looking down to where the unborn child lay
“We’re back now with two of the Backstreet Boy’s, Nick Carter and Brian Littrell” the MTV VJ announced smiling perfectly at the camera directed to his face
“So guys I understand one of you is, uh, getting something delivered soon” he chuckled
Brian breathed deeply, Faith was right they had nothing to hide, they loved the idea of been parents.
“That’s right, I'm soon to be a dad” Brian smiled, leaning comfortably back in the chair, his right leg resting on his left
The crowd erupted into applause, though there did seem to be a few scattered distraught faces, as Faith leant against a wall backstage and smiled gently as she watched Brian’s face on the overhead TV set.
“See Daddy loves you very much” she sighed contentedly as her hands folded around her stomach

Catherine looked around the cabins surroundings of thick shrubs and fallen trees in disgust. The rundown log cabin had been her father’s getaway for many years, it was obvious he’d not returned in a long time. She pushed open the door, which creaked in displeasure. She dumped her suitcase onto the floor and slammed the door shut. It was decorated in old wooden furniture, which didn’t seem to have been dusted in years. There were photos on the wall, and a bearskin rug morbidly placed on the floor in front of the dirty fireplace. Above it an old frowning Moose head was mounted on the wall next to a frequently used hunting rifle.
She carried her luggage into one of the two similarly decked out rooms. It was a simple master bedroom, a double bed in the center, wood –aged liked the rest of the furniture, and a freestanding closet against the opposite wall beside a set of 6 draws. She placed her bags onto the bed and looked around the room, nothing special, but it would provide escape for a while.
She wandered back into the lounge room and flicked on the TV she doubted it would actually worked, but it seemed to be the newest thing in the whole house. It flicked on, and she soon realized her father had cable installed to the cabin. She managed a soft laugh, typical male.
She slumped down into the old couch, too tired to venture into trying to restore the house. She didn’t care for it, and as far as she was concerned she would make no attempt to be settled.
She flicked through channels, caring for nothing in particular. They had hardly allowed her to watch television in THERE, they seemed to think it had negative effects, they rather wanted their “patients” to concentrate on themselves rather than the worlds perception of things, Catherine of course thought they were completely full of bullshit.
She stopped at MTV, a sense of wonder coming over her, she wondered for a moment what HE was up to. Had they married? Were they still together? Had something terrible happened after she was locked away?
“Two days ago Backstreet Boy, Brian Littrell announced, here on MTV that he and his wife, Faith are expecting their first child in around four months time” the newscaster announced, smiling brightly
“Child?” Catherine gaped, the rest of the newscasters words vanishing into the background
In an instant Catherine’s eyes went a death black color and a feeling of anger boiled inside of her, she picked up the TV and smashed it unforgivingly into the ground.
“NO” she screamed, her voice echoing through the surrounding still forest.

I have a vision, it comes to me at night and fights my mind during the day. Blood is everywhere, seeping into the cracks of the dry pale dirt that surrounds the body that lays still in the cold night and through the sweltering mid day heat.
I have a vision, one of power and intense strength. A knife in one hand sharp and majestically brilliant, shining above its victim, ready to pounce without regret and without hesitation it falls, piercing skin, and drawing the thick red blood that seeps into the cracks of that dry pale dirt.
That is my vision,
That is my mission
Eyes of death black see only visions of death black….
