CHAPTER 29 - NOBODY WANTS TO BE LONELY


Arora dug her toes softly into the sand, she hated herself for everything she'd done, yet something inside her told her that telling Brian was the right thing to do. She sighed quietly as the wind swept around her body, swirling her hair around her face. The moon shone down luminously as the stars twinkled in the distance. The truth was out there now, Bianca knew, Brian knew, with one foul swept she'd managed to push everyone that cared about her swiftly out the door. A single tear fell from her eye, brushing it back she heard the sound of someone behind her. She spun around to see Nick walking towards her.

"Hey" he smiled as he sat down in the sand beside her, his hands delved into the pockets of his khaki pants.

"I told him" Arora mumbled staring out to a boat that was anchored off the coast
"Brian?" Nick replied softly, he knew this day would come
"I told him everything Nick" she whispered clutching the bottle of rum, that sat between her legs, tightly in her hands.

Nick wanted to pursue the matter, find out what he said, how he reacted, but deep down he knew he really didn't want to know.

"What do we do know? We've successfully managed to push people that we care about out of our lives" She sulked, sculling back the rum
"We don't try to drown our problems in cheep rum" Nick smiled taking the bottle from her hands
"That shit wasn't cheep" she laughed "and anyway don't diss it till you try it" she added with a side wards glance.
Nick was never one to drink, he'd seen what it had done to certain people first hand. But now was as good as any time to start. He gulped back a mouth full of straight rum, swallowing without a hesitation. It wasn't the best tasting alcohol, but never the less, he took another drink.

Arora lay back on the blanket she was sitting on, her dark hair burying itself in the sand as she closed her eyes.
"Maybe it's all a bad dream, maybe I'll wake up?" she mumbled "Do you think I could Nick? Do you think I could just wake up?" she question opening her eyes to look up at him.
He smiled softly, shrugging his shoulders.
"I don't know Arora, I don't know" he whispered

~ AT THE SAME TIME ~

"Chas, tell me you're not still watching that rubbish?" AJ laughed as he strolled down the hallway, rubbing his eyes as he entered the lounge, the only source of light glowing from the TV
"Uh hello, it's Eminem reruns of course I'm watching it" Chastity smiled as she stuck another Oreo in her mouth "Plus I cant sleep, thinking about all that's been going on, I mean it's seriously fucked up" she added, talking with her mouth half full, but caring none the less.
"That guys a dick" AJ laughed pointing at the TV "and don't worry Chastity, things will work themselves out"
"Yeah, yeah I know, but it's like for once, I'm the only one that's still left sane, it's strange" she shrugged "Except for Arora, but then again I could swear something's wrong in that camp too, just haven't figured out what"
"So come to bed now?" AJ inquired, grabbing a cup from the cupboard and filling it with water
"Nup, I'm watching this" Chastity shook her head
"You're gonna watch that ass?" AJ smirked as he gulped down the glass of water
"If I wasn't married to you, I'd be going after that ass" Chastity grinned
"You're kidding right?"
"No, I have a total girl on boner for that guy, I dunno" she shrugged "Something about him"
"The fact he's a conceited ass, who, nothing personal, wouldn't give you the time of day. He's a jerk Chas, god his wife even cheats on him"
"You're just up at him cause he disses boy bands"
"He disses girl bands too, and last time I checked Vixen was one of them"
"Excuse me" Chastity laughed pulling her bunny slippers up under her bottom "we're a VOCAL HARMONY GROUP" she announced with a huge smile
"Bite me" AJ smirked as he tousled her hair
"Anytime McLean, but could Marshall join us?" she replied pointing back at the TV
"Like I said Chas, you're not his type"
"That sounds like a challenge"
"You'd never win"
"How much you wanna bet on that?" Chastity sneered leaning in on AJ's face
"How much do you wanna loose?" he smiled, winking
"Alright Backside boy, you're on. A hundred bucks and you stacking the dishwasher for 2 weeks says that I can get the real slim shady begging for a slice of Chastity pie" she announced. She extended her hand, and starred up at him victoriously
"Add 2 weeks of been on top for the winner and you're on" AJ smirked
"Done deal McLean" Chastity announced shaking his hand

~ AT THE SAME TIME ~

A stiff gust of air blew against the two bodies lying on the sand. They were silent, both afraid of words, afraid of each other, afraid of what they had. Nick sat up, grasping onto his legs, pulling them underneath his chest.

"Do you think, if I start swimming that by morning, I could be far away?" he inquired shifting in the sand
"I suppose, but you could swim a lifetime and still not be far enough away from everything, it awlays catches up" Arora mumbled in response as he covered her face with her hands
"If I went, it might make things better" Nick sighed, sculling back another mouthful
"Yeah right. It's not you Nick, this isn't your fault. It's us, it's like we have this chemical reaction thing, I don't even know how to explain it. It's like irreversible and unstoppable and like some sort of tornado it destroys everything it touches"
"Seems kind of extreme"
"Philosophical?"
"No stopping it?"
"I don't know, maybe, maybe not" Arora sighed sitting up, pushing her dark hair behind her ears
"Then what's the point?" Nick inquired, burring his hand in the sand beside him
"The point of what?" Arora responded
"The point of fighting something we cant stop?"
"I don't suppose there is one" Arora smiled "God this sounds like a Dawson's Creek moment" she laughed flopping back down onto the sand
"If you cant beat it, join it. Or something like that" Nick smiled

His hand swept underneath Arora's top, sliding across her stomach, reaching around to her side, where it remained as Nick leant down and kiss her lips softly. She encased his lips with her own, the feeling so familiar, so needed. Her hand slithered up his arm, following the silhouette of his body as far as she could. His other hand steadied himself as he overlapped her body, his other hand caressing the velvety skin lay hidden by her simple cotton t-shirt.

The kiss deepened, as each one craved for the sensation more and more, wanting, lusting, needing the comfort it provided. He released her lips, his own making the journey down her jawbone, to caress the base of her neck. She moaned slightly, the sensation of his hand over her body and his lips on her skin becoming overwhelming. She gripped at his back with her nails, entreating him as his tongue ventured down her collarbone.
