She was born Abt. 1815 in North Carolina; died Aft. 1860. He is believed to be buried in the original Galatia Church Cemetery, Cumberland County, North Carolina

(Note: According to C. Stanley, land records of Cumberland and Robeson Counties, North Carolina suggest that John C. Davis was the son of Thomas Davis who was born Abt. 1757 and died Abt. 1832. According to land records Thomas Davis was in Cumberland and Robeson Counties by 1778. Some of this land is owned by Davis descendants today.)
