As Malcolm passed through the wall, he became completely sure he was dead. After all, didn't ghosts and such walk through walls? He wondered where he could find some sort of manual for ghostliness, not considering that even if he did find one he wouldn't be able to open it.

All this philosophical pondering came to an end as he landed on the ground, where he distinctly heard a snapping sound. At first he wondered whether it was this morning's Rice Bubbles resurfacing, before he realised he was very much alive. He had finally gotten a break. Unfortunately, it was in the arm.

Watching from a distance, Jacob realised his error. The wish had infact come true, but just as Malcolm had regained his solidity, the wall had lost its own. This had made Malcolm really angry, and he was fruitlessly attempting to kick the wall in frustration. Luckily he was a doctor, so he could treat his own arm, although the health insurance form was going to look pretty weird, and he wasn't sure to what degree he should patronise himself.

Jacob meanwhile heard the chuckle over his shoulder again. He looked… and there was nothing. All he could see was the street, the cars, and the fourteen-foot demon leaning against a lamp-post. He looked back at Malcolm, disappointed.

The voice came: "I like this wish. See, Malcolm is solid but the wall is not! And it'll spread to other walls! Burglary will be rife! The World Running-Against-Wall Championship will be disbanded! MWAHAHAHA!"

Can Jacob reverse this last wish? Will Malcolm repair his broken arm? Will the World Running-Against-Wall Championship ever be the same? All this and less in the next chapter of…

The Absolutely Super Adventures of Jacob Remington.....
