Aerobatics is not only a very spectacular air sport it is also the safest of all air sports. But one of the factors contributing to this is to do with the numbers participating in it. Because other air sports like cross country flying aren’t as intense and potentially unsafe and therefore are more appealing to some. And therefore because of the numbers accidents happen more often than in aerobatics.
Most people
thinking about getting involved in aerobatics feel a bit apprehensive at first
because aerobatics involves risks, which are not involved in non-aerobatic
flight.
With higher
performance aircraft and more advanced aerobatics, there are additional risks.
The airplanes are less forgiving, the forces on plane and pilot are higher and
bag habits and slickness can occur.
But aerobatic
flight is as dangerous as the pilot makes it, if the pilot leaves a way out for
every factor such as height and personal limitations there are almost no risks.
Applying to every form of aviation but in particularly aerobatics, is pilots
should learn by others' mistakes, and not your own. Because aerobatics can be
quite safe if certain safety rules are followed.
