She sells sea shells down by the seashore
This design is made up of a ring of roughly rectangular wedges.  Two adjacent sections are swirled to the right, and the next two are swirled to the left.  The arrow marks show which way each section was swirled.  The alternating directions create the different shapes that form the design. This is the drawing that got my students excited about learning to draw swirling triangles.  I derw the arrows to show them how the different directions change the patterns.
Naranja dulce, limon partido, dame un abrazo, que yo te pido
My very first spiral triangle, drawn April 23, 2004.  The interior lines of the spiral are extended with a ruler to the edge of the encompassing circle.  Given to Brian, who fought to have it be done even though there are still white parts showing.  He likes it just the way it is.  (Ah, how sweet!)  :-)
You've now entered the Matt Fanning memorial section!
Can we say ugly and boring and drawn on an index card pulled out of Mathew's dorm-room desk?
Dorm-room decoration delight!  :-P
Amanda's got one of these too... Ah, how sweet, matching spiral hexagons....
Yeah, you guessed it, yet another index card creation drawn while visiting the computer-game-playing brother
