READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
This is the ArKane File Server. An e-mail based file server that utilizes
mail filtering to process requests. To use this file-server correctly, you
must use the following address and subject line in your e-mail message:
To: afs@iffg.emsai.net
Subject: AFS REQUEST
The AFS is operated by sending commands in the Body of an e-mail message. You can also retrieve Directory listings of the files available and a descriptive file listing all the files available.
The AFS can handle multiple requests per message. This is currently configured for a maximum of 2 requests per message. Please follow this minor limitation. Requests over the maximum are automatically ignored and dumped by the server system.
Two files seems like very little, but if you aren't sure what kind of space your mail host allows this will help save you, and them trouble, bandwidth, and headaches. It also prevents my machine from bogging down on 2MB file requests.

THIS SYSTEM DOES NOT RECOGNIZE HTML ENCODED E-MAIL. PLEASE SEND
TEXT ONLY REQUESTS! If the system does not recognise a request, it is
automatically dumped from the request queue. I rarely look at the queue
to see what is or isn't being sent out. I do review the logs, which is
why I add this note. Please read it and understand it.
This is not an automated system. This runs off of one of my personal machines when I get my mail. You may not receive any response for a day or two. Please keep this in mind before sending me mail saying that you didn't get your files.
COMMANDS:
GET filename
RETR filename
SEND filename
Any one of these will send the file pointed to by "filename" which can include a filename and path. You can use either / or \ to seperate directories in the path..
As of now, files are separated into categorical directories. The directories are as follows:
docs, games, libs, misc, source. If you were looking for game.zip, your command would be GET games/game.zip
DIR path
LS path
FILES path
Any of these will return a directory listing of the files and sub directories within the path provided (or the root if you don't provide one). This includes filename, size, and last modifided date. The subdirectories are as listed above.
LIST
FILELIST
These will return a file produced by the system's owner containing a list of all available files with descriptions or other details.
HELP
Returns this file.
INFO
Returns the information file listed at the top of each mail message.
EXIT, DONE, QUIT, or END
Ends processing of commands so your signature doesn't get processed etc. PLEASE don't forget to add this line at the end of your message.
REMEMBER:
Only TEXT requests will be processed. HTML enocded mail is dumped
automatically. Use END, QUIT, DONE, or EXIT at the end of your request.

NOTE:
Files that begin with an asterisk (*) are not currently available at
this time but may be added later. This is due mostly to the fact that
they are currently available at other sources. I do have development files
available through this server and on the IFFG.
I do have all of these files, so in a last case chance, I can fill the request if it can't be found elsewhere. Please look at the various online archives below before asking me to add it here or fill it personally.
